About Wavamatics
Wavamatics is a project headed up by Paul Clifford working out of West Cork and London. They have produced a number of CDs which Celtic Radio is featuring their "Tradformations" CD. Tradformations is a re-interpretation of Irish traditional classic reels and melodies, giving them a modern casting whilst remaining faithful to the freshness and excitement of the originals. The result is a memorizing, lush and hauntingly beautiful collection of music and songs. Listening to one track quickly results in wanting to hear more and that is an effect that is hard to duplicate.
Tradformations is exactly the type of music that Highlander Radio was made for. Taking time honored classics and making them new again for the next generation of Celtic music listeners. Certainly a worthwhile effort and noble cause to celebrate the release of this ground breaking style.
