I've always thought the Schwinn Phantom was a sharp looking bicycle. I actually had one that was similar to this as a kid. It didn't have the gas tank or the headlight, but the frame and the tires were similar. My parents bought it used after my previous bike got stolen. Very comfortable ride as I remember.
I read somewhere that Schwinn gambled that boys back in the early and mid-1950s would want a bicycle that looked like a motorcycle.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
I changed mine. I got tired of the same ole same ole! I photographed this rose when I was in CA. My sis has a rose garden of different colors and I love white roses!
Thanks Mike! I took many photos of white roses! I just love them. I thought they were the symbol of Scotland, but found out later that the Thistle is the symbol of Scotland and that the white or red rose is the symbol of England! Well I am almost half English sooooo....suits me either way, eh?

The war of the roses I forget the names right off involved in that battle for the English throne. I'll think about them sometime late tonight or tomorrow and have to get up and post it.
One side used the white rose, the other the red.
