"Must Love Dogs" - laughed a lot during this one, its good and John Cusack is as cute as a button. But the promiscuity made me uncomfortable, I must admit... how I wish somebody would make an old fashioned romance where people actually are acquainted and even eek.gif married before they jump in the sack! rolleyes.gif

Took hubby to see "Narnia" the other night and he loved it too! It was the second time for me to see it and I think I enjoyed it even better... had a chance to really observe the details this time.

You should go see "End of the Spear." I have very mixed feelings about it, but the transcending message is compelling: no matter what belief or philosophical system you get the message through, violent conflict is not the way.

Also it's a very beautiful film visually.

I was watching Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets for the umpteenth time tonight when I discovered something funny. If you have it on DVD, flip the audio to Spanish when Snape is speaking. He sounds very evil in Spanish.

Also, I've heard that there's a Harry Potter drinking game. Whenever someone in the movie says Harry's name, do a shot.

40 Year Old Virgin.

Mike, if you haven't seen it, you need to. It's funny sober, but hilarious while enjoying a few beers. You could even do the drinking game with it...every time someone says 'virgin'. beer_mug.gif

The chest hair removal part is going to go down as a classic. Can't believe its not nominated for an Oscar! wink.gif

I am behind in movies so here goes. I saw "Spanglish" last night. I really enjoyed it. A very family oriented movie and yet neurotic love story! laugh.gif I very much enjoyed it. Never saw Adam Sandler in a serious role before and I have to admit I enjoyed him better as such! I have recorded some other movies on my TiVo but have yet to see them, but will give you a report as I do. wink.gif

I saw "Lord of War" this friday. It had it's moments, I think perhaps a different lead could have improved it.

I also saw "Sky HIgh" and it was a lot of fun. I think that "Spanglish" will be next in the cue

laugh.gif laugh.gif I bet he DOES sound evil!!

We watched part of Pirates of the Caribbean with the French audio on one time, and just howled when it showed Captain Jack Sparrow talking - what fun!

Reid and I went to see 'Fun with Dick and Jane' last weekend; its the new film with Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni. We'd seen the previews awhile back and died laughing at them, but unfortunately those clips were the best part of the movie... the rest of it is a brave attempt at serious humor. The movie is about a couple caught up in an Enron-type situation, where the husband's company misleads everyone & folds, leaving the husband broke and in trouble because it looks like he was involved in the coverup.
The story does have a point to make, but I thought on a scale of 1 to 10 the movie is about a 5. I do love to watch Jim Carrey, though, and enjoyed that... but has anyone ever noticed Tea never closes her mouth completely?? You can always see those big ole front teeth, no matter what she's saying or doing. During the movie I got to the point where I wanted to yell "CLOSE YOUR MOUTH!!"

I just saw the Tom Hanks movie where he plays an Irish mobster. Don't recall the name, but it was quite good. I wasn't sure when he started doing serious roles instead of comedy, but he's good! Made a good(?) mobster!
