MDF3530 Posted on 15-Sep-2004, 04:23 PM That was one of the first two DVDs, along with John Carpenter's Vampires, I ever bought.

Here we go again, MDF..... you bought John Carpenter's Vampires? (shudder!) I was dragged to that flick for my fiance's birthday -- proves it was love! -- and thought the soundtrack would drive me right to the looney bin. Did he sample that from some 30-year-old porn flick he had in his private stash? Ye gads. Over, and over, and over..... dry.gif

I was honestly disappointed in it, actually; I really like James Woods.

Uh, but I love The Matrix! biggrin.gif

Actually, John Carpenter scores his own movies.

I like the movie. I wouldn't say it's more believable than other vampire movies, but you don't have to suspend reality as much as you do with, say Blade or Underworld (not that I don't mind looking at Kate Beckinsale, mind you naughty.gif tongue.gif).

I watched two classic Highlander movies last night. The first one being "Highlander" with Christopher Lambert. I actually own this movie but since it was on the movie channel I watched it again anyway. After that came, "Highlander, The Final Dimension." Actually, I liked it better. It was with Christopher Lambert too. I think he is lousy with a sword, unlike Duncan MacLeod, but I did enjoy seeing the movie.

for all you "Highlander" fans. There is a new Highlander movie in the making called "The Final Source" with Christopher Lambert, but my Adrian Paul will not be in it as he did not like the script.............oh boo hoo hoo hoo. sad.gif

Starskey and Hutch! A dog! Don't even rent it!

Great! I haven't looked at this topic in days, and I just rented that yesterday to watch during my recovery this weekend. Oh well.

Hey Rose,

I'm or should say I was a big Highlander fan. I enjoyed the two movies, but loved the T.V. series.
Adrian Paul---what a hotty!!!! naughty.gif wub.gif He gave the character Duncan Macleod depth or maybe it was the script and his acting that did it. Oh well, I miss watching the show.

Omigosh! I just finished watching that new Peter Pan (2003) movie. It is sooooo good. It is the best version of Peter Pan I have ever seen. I cried like eight times in the movie (yes I am a sap). I thought that the directing, acting, script, effects, everything was very well done. I love that genre of movies and it was definitely my type of movie! Wow everyone... GO SEE IT NOW!!!!!!!!

I have all the Highlander TV series on DVD. I love them! Duncan MacLeod will always be the only one Highlander for me!

Watched Highlander Endgame last night! I like it better every time I watch it! I must get the soundtrack too!

We watched 'Taking Lives' a few nights ago and I really enjoyed it. thumbs_up.gif thumbs_up.gif A suspenseful thriller; not too many of those are either suspenseful or thrilling anymore, it seems.

Someday soon, I'm gonna purchase the "Star Wars" Episodes 4, 5 & 6 (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi) that were just released on DVD. I've seen them on the plasma screen TVs at Best Buy and they look AWESOME!!!

I especially like how peaceful Cloud City looks in The Empire Strikes Back.

I don't know. Last night, I rented Episode IV: A New Hope from Blockbuster. Hearing the laser blasts and the lightsaber fight between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi through my stereo is WILD!

Let's see...Saw Aline verssus predator about 3 weeks ago. I knew it wasnt going to be great when I was the only one in the theatre.

Saw sky captain with Logan this past weekend. It was very well done. He enjoyed it and appreciated how they paid tribute to the old balck and whites as well as the old comics. Really enjoyed that one

hung out with a friends of mine a few nights back and watched last samurai and thougth they could have fleshed it out more but it was still good.
