QUOTE (Roisin-Teagan @ 31-Jul-2004, 10:30 PM)

You've inspired me to take a second look at graphic design as a medium to express myself artistically. Thanks.

*looks around to see if it's ok to post and decides to give it a try*

I whipped this out late last night.

The significance surrounding the symbol is deep and a lot of it is still unknown to me.
On an esoteric level, I have never been an avid follower of egyptian culture, lore, etc. So it was a shock to me that my first tatoo was an ankh..truly..felt compelled to get it..
anyway..I had also had a preoccupation, growing up, of drawing hawk eyes. Didn't know why because I have never been a bird person.
Well, one night, I was doodling a celtic knot design in a notebook I had(it ended up making a rectangle). I looked at it and it seemed empty so I started doodling and ended up with an ankh. It still look so very empty so I doodled some more and ended up with the eye of horus inside the ankh.
Without getting to deeply into what happened on an intellectual and spiritual level, I will say that I saw(for the first time) a symbol the was pertinent to me..my sigil. Have yet to find it anywhere else..wish I could figure out if it was madness or was significant in some way...
ok..now that everyone thinks I'm nuts...
here it is

I like that design Urian. I guess it goes along with the key you were describing in one of your other short stories on the other web site?

This is a drawing I did one day at work, with a Bic ink pen no doubt! Been meaning to go back and color it somehow...it currently resides on my wall alongside several of my other works, one of them being a 24X18 painting I did with oil pastels. I asked Aaediwen to scan this photo for me and in the process he put it on his site @ www.aaediwen.com/Farm.jpg! More to come!

Here's a shot at "pseudo-digital" imaging...it was really just a quick way to get what I saw out my living room window in some medium. Thanks to Paint (I know, but this work is far from over!) I created the image you see here.

This is one I did back in November or so after seeing one of our cats, Patches, taking a nap on the back of my computer monitor. Let's just say I created this as fast as I could in a rough sketch. It was one of those moments you wish you had a good digital camera and Photoshop instead, but, I think the moment is captured fairly accurately with this for the time being.

Here's the latest installment courtesy of Windows Paint...wished they'd make stuff look less cartoony, but it serves its purpose for now!

Enjoy your artwork, Haldur! Why don't you have a pinned thread just for your work? I love the sketch with the guitar hanging from the tree and the one with the cat the best! thumbs_up.gif
