OK I am bored again LOL
You do sound bored. I'm bored too. There being nothing on TV isn't helping.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
Check your PBS channel out lately they have been running BBC america shows which tend to be some british comedy. Have been watching them for several weeks maybe your area has some on as well. We get 2 PBS channels locally one carries one doesn't so all I can say is check and see.
Speaking of the BBC, there a show on PBS2 called monarch of the glen. I have really got into this show over the last few weeks, there is some beautiful Scottish scenery.

Speaking of the BBC, there a show on PBS2 called monarch of the glen. I have really got into this show over the last few weeks, there is some beautiful Scottish scenery.
Monarch of the Glen is now in its fifth or sixth series here and is being shown on Sunday nights. It seems to have totally run out of steam - and now the news is that the actor who plays Archie is to leave the series, too...
The scenery is definitely the best thing about the series - oh, apart from Hamish Clark, that is
The house is on the Arverikie Estate in the Spey Valley, near Loch Laggan.
The beautiful vistas from the house are Loch Laggan, but as it's all private property, the only way to actually walk on the shores on the portion within the Estate is to stay at the Gate Lodge of the Estate or in one of the holiday cottages that they rent out. However, the House is still out of bounds!
It's wonderful walking and hiking country around there...
Scottish2 is right, it's filmed in many of the local villages in the area - there isn't just one village which they have renamed Glenbogle...
It has however made a big difference in the kind of tourist 'toot n tat' that is available.....
Like the movie Local Hero which was filmed in Scotland anyone know if this is the correct village they shoot in? By the way this was a movie that came out in 1983 for those unfamilar with it.
Read below before answering I found the answer but going to leave question for this interested in what the question was.
The village or at least one is Pennan this is east of Inverness right on the coast not to long before the east coastline heads south. A little west of Fraserburgh which is almost the the turn in the coastline. The other spots that are mentioned in the credits are on the west cost. One is Arisaig and the other looks to be Morar just north of Arisaig. No I am assuming they use mainly the village of Pennan just because of location but was wondering if anyone knows if this is the quaint little village they use for most the shooting of this film?
Your stat's are very interesting! One thing I do know, I've bought more CD's since joining this station than ever before....I think Paul puts a new group on and the group says: I know Annabelle is a sucker and she'll buy at least one...going to have to lock up my credit card... Annabelle
But good thing is their getting exposure. I know one thing that ticks me off with the US is they have either no or few listening stations in record stores. In Japan for instance they have listening stations where you can scan a CD's bar code and listen to it right in the store before even buying it is just short clips but it gives you an idea if you like it or not. I know I can't read Japanaese but with this system I can still find artists I like and usually buy at least 1 CD per trip if not more. I don't think I have ever seen this for CD's I know Walmart has one for the DVD section but have never seen this for music.
There is one store that has a CD scanner, that I know of, and that's Hastings music. I don't know if you have this store in the North East. But I have used it quite a lot. But one thing I don't like about them, is they don't have alot of celtic music.
