SCOTTISH SUMMER

If you noticed that our focus on our website articles has turned towards all things Scottish, then you noticed right! With the upcoming release of Disney's new movie focused on Scotland, we've decided that there just might be more than a few kilted folks interested in the stories and songs of Scotland.

Look for the next few months for us to focus on all things Scottish. From the Culture, to the History and to the Music. This might be something we can repeat next year with a summer focused on all things Irish, then Welsh, etc.

For those that have been around since the very early early days of Celtic Radio, you may remember that our site started out being focused solely on Scotland with our website called "ScottishRadio.net". Before the days of facebook, we had a vibriant community in our forums with so many people that came on faithful to our website every day......

So enjoy our Scottish Theme Summer and maybe learn a bit about the history and culture of Old Scotland!

I'm looking forward to it and the movie.

I Love this idea!! I went to Simply Scottish's website and listened to several of their podcasts (couldn't resist tongue.gif )-- really enjoyed them! Thanks for bringing them to your broadcast, too. Can't wait to hear more of them!

In continuing our focus on all things Scottish this summer, we will be featuring 41 episodes on the Tales and Traditions of the Castles of Scotland. Our nightly episodes are between 5-10 minutes long and contain a wealth of information. Tune in at 12:30 AM EST every night for a new episode!

Nigel Tranter was a Scottish Historian and researcher who over the course of his life saved and refurbished 60 castles in Scotland. Nigel passed away in 2000, but his tales and traditions of the Castles of Scotland lives on.

Be sure to adjust your audio to best hear these broadcasts, while not the best quality, Nigel provides valuable and distinct information that otherwise would be lost to the ages.
