I just found this site and it looks great. I love all types of celtic music but Celtic Thunder is my favorite. Most of my ancestors were Irish and I have been trying to find out where they came from before my trip to Ireland next year(I AM SO EXCITED). So far I know Patrick Fitzgerald came from Cork and he married Hannah Lewison who was from Limerick. I'm looking forward to finding some new friends and maybe getting some hints about good places to visit.

Howdy, surfersully13, from the great Navajo Nation in Northern Arizona! The wife and I visited Ireland last March and it was fantastic! We stayed pretty much on the west coast in Doolin and on the Dingle Peninsula. We also visited some friends that live in Cork and had a great time with them. I am sure there will be a host of folks who will have good travel advice for you.

I would say do the bed and breakfast thing. Great way to meet people and get suggestions on where to go and what to do.

Welcome aboard and have a great day!

Welcome to Celtic Radio. You'll find a lot of good music beyond Celtic Thunder.
It's great that you have traced your family and get to go to Ireland. You'll have a great time there.

Hello, surfersully13! Welcome to the site! Celtic Thunder is a neat group indeed, I think it is great that so many people were brought to the site through them. Check out the stations, they are all quite good. Your trip sounds wonderful! It is one of my future plans to go to Ireland/Scotland with my roommate. My aunt and uncle went a few years back, and they also recommend the B and B's.

DISCIPLINE MUST BE A HABIT SO INGRAINED THAT IT IS STRONGER THAN THE EXCITEMENT OF BATTLE OR THE FEAR OF DEATH.
General George S. Patton

Laws that forbid the carrying of firearms, disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assulted, and better for the assailants. They serve rather to encourge, than to prevent homicides. For an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.
