Who haven't heard of the popular and most extraordinary "The Nutcrackers" and the wonderful and magical music of Tchaikovski.

I never get tired of listening to it and just can't miss it year after year. I find this ballet the most wonderful in the world. Though there are many great ones, I don't know this one holds a particular place of favor in my heart.

Here is one of my favorite part of it "La Valse des Fleurs" where all the ballerinas and their princes dances to the wonderful valse of Tchaikovski.

Enjoy!

My dear Lady of Avalon,

I certainly agree that this is an exceptionally beautiful ballet as you suggest. Are you asking what our favorite ballets are, or symphonies or music of the season?

LOA;

Good choice of Music.

Every year for 7 years my ex would take the girls to see the Nutcracker on Xmas Eve. One year I got Shanghaied into going, love the music hate the dancing. I fell asleep and started snoring. Needless to say I didn't get my usual Xmas gift that night. Boy was she peeved.

Hi wdorholt,

I'm only asking if anyone has a particular symphony or music for that matter that he or she enjoys listening during the Holidays.

And my dear Camac...let me just say that I would have been "peeved" as well wink.gif
If I would ever cought hubby sleeping and or snoring....well I prefer not to say it here what would happen to him... rolleyes.gif

LOA;

I did have a good excuse for falling asleep. I had worked the night shift and hadn't slept a wink that day.

I always loved "Greensleeves", but especially around Christmas time.

How about from one spectrum to the other?

mcnberry,

Those were great! Ian Anderson has long been a favorite of mine.

I love to listen to the Three Irish Tenors this time of the year.

Here's an Austrian Christmas Carol from the Great Welsh Baritone, Bryn Terfel.
