be my guest my dear put your idle workers to task.
tongue.gif and get ahead of me if it's make you feel better.... rolleyes.gif

Why would I do that when I unassigned almost 200 of them a few weeks ago?
What I *really* want to figure out is how I can get rid of them- permanently.

I didn't bring this up as any sort of bragging, just stating a fact and answering your question about why your ranking dropped.

It would cost me 726,110 gold to train all my idle workers. That would increase my score enough to put me in third place, however it would take 450 "ticks" to get my money back from them. That's 450 ticks to break even, another 450 to return my kingdom's treasury to its current level. That's approximately 38 days of "real-time." Even longer if I did not put all of them in as gold miners.
I consider it highly unlikely that, if I were in third place, I would go long enough without being attacked that I would ever see a return on that investment. More likely, I would be attacked and would lose those workers (and the money spent training them) to enemy slavers.
Trained workers, once captured by the enemy, aid the enemy's war effort. Buildings, however, cannot be captured by the enemy. Yes, they can be destroyed- but never captured. Given the choice of what to invest in, I choose the option that cannot be used to my enemy's advantage. smile.gif

Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.

Thanks for the head up on things subhuman.
As for the ranking question, I know why my ranking dropped what I don't understand is I did not unassigned all of my workers when I put myself on holidays mode, is it the computer that does it automatically or it's the game administrators that did it?

And I know as well that you did not bring this up for bragging purposes, I was just teasing you with my reply, just teasing you....you know, like in having fun... smile.gif

For I don't take the game seriously or any games for that matter; for me it's amusement and entertainment.

Thanks
LOA

Ah, thanks for clarifying that.
The "villagers" that appear on the homepage is the total number of workers you have- both assigned and unassigned.
I expect that once you are able to enter the game again, you'll find your workers doing whatever they were doing before you went on holiday.

Thank you subhuman again for clarifying things for me.
Maybe it is of all the changes done this week-end that now you see all the workers "assigned or unassigned" in the Villagers section.
Because before it was only the free ones that you'd see there.

If you have not noticed we are taking a little break on the development of the homepage for MK. We expect to continue soon.

Medieval Kingdom
Rank #2

Is there a link from the game to the homepage? If so, I can't find it. If not, there should be IMO.

I think we have updated all of the links to point to:

http://medieval.celticradio.net

as the game homepage.

Ok, we got some work still to do on the homepage. Our next focus will be on individual profiles for Medieval Kingdom. Resources will be displayed along with the persons association with a Kingdom, Country, any special titles ie King, Governor, etc.

Map location and links to in-game email.

Clans will be special associations that are tightly woven community. They are considered allied Kingdoms and for that matter will be allowed to view other Clan members Armies and strength.

Countries are losely tied communities with no allience to each other. They can join different clans and also can attack each other - although that is probably not a good idea being neighbors and all! Because of this losely tied relationship, country members will not be able to view other countries armies.

Coming in the next few days will be member profiles as indicated above.

We have updated the homepage of Medieval Kingdom.

Those visiting our Medieval Kingdom home page for the first time who were not logged into Celtic Radio were greeted with a nasty looking page.

We have updated the page with a sample member bar as a preview of what a logged in user can expect. We have also updated the login routine to return directly to the Medieval Kingdom home page upon login.
