LoA, just because somebody requested that I attack someone does not mean it occurred.
There's is quite a big difference between requesting something, and actually receiving it.

For the record, I was unable to attack any members of EIO- the game kept telling me they were not worth my time.

So yes, it was requested that I attack. Yes, I would have attacked had I been allowed to.

No, there was not any actual attack.

In the future, I would prefer if you get your facts straight before spreading more misinformation about me.

Have you verified if any of the members of Clan Bruce you listed actually participated in these attacks, or are you making assumptions about them as well?

Drinking is a sport. In order to be competitive, you must practice on a regular basis. Although you can practice alone, it is much more fun to practice with friends. If you're out of shape and practice too hard, you will regret it the next day.

It is true that we were requested to attack from Clan MacInnes to hit Clan EIO, and had I not had computer issues probably would have. From all of my knowledge I do not know of anyone of my clan members that attacked either because I was not able to get online to address them as to whether or not to attack.

Again it is all in assumption that these attacks were made. Having that said, I would have attacked had I the availability to.

I typically do not find dispute with you fair lady, but your assumptions about me attacking Lord McRoach are quite false actually, (and you can verify this personally with Lord McRoach himself).

If I recall exactly he was chosen for me by a group of individuals as a potiential target as part of a strike coordination, and I chose not to follow through with what was recommended of me. I instead had conversations with McRoach about the war issues and told him at that time that I was choosing not to attack him due to my personal feelings about the "situation". We made no allegiance or alliance with each other, clan or otherwise, we just chose to remain neutral during that period.

Others in my clan I believe did participate but this was understood between McRoach and I as well, for our clan members have minds of their own and were advised of the situation and to use their own judgement. As we always state, our clansmen and women have free will within our clan.

So all truth be known sure, i was "advised" he was to be a potiential target for me during those strikes, but I did not take that opportunity when it was given.

Getting personal again I see Subhuman...

I posted the targets list on this thread for the sole purpose to have Lord Gandolf3339 know that is was not only the MacInnes that were involved in this war.

Also, both Lord Subhuman and Lord Shenaniganz states that you were "requested" when our Laird never "requested" anything from you he said that we were to attack and since we are allied he told you that you could join.

QUOTE
In the future, I would prefer if you get your facts straight before spreading more misinformation about me.

In my post sir I do not insinuate anything about you...like I said and repeat or maybe you can't read properly my post ... it was only the target list to show to lord Gandolf3339 that it was not only MacInnes involved.

And lord Olorin...those "group of individuals" are your allies my lord...you chose not to be a participant and that's fine ...thus you confirm that nothing was "requested" from you...nuance here like Lord Subhuman states.

And though I have no dispute with you either my lord...I read one line here that intrigues me..."that I was choosing not to attack him due to my personal feelings about the "situation". You had quite the opposite towards another target may I remind you my lord.
I will keep my comments for myself on this one.

And also, Lord Subhuman and Lord Shenaniganz you both just admit that you would have participated if able so to me is the same as being an actual participant...I'm beginning to think that you are one of those "crybabies" my lord...for you seemed to always take my posts to a certain personal level.

And again...why in hellfire are you saying that I make assumptions when all I did was post a target list that was posted to each and everyone of you...

Can't you read properly when one posts...in my posts I never mentioned that any of you attacked anyone...it's a list for godsake????

I know that you Lord Subhuman enjoys very much playing with words and all but instead of taking everything we say personally start by reading properly the posts and instead of analyzing this and that you should try and analyze the meaning of the words one writes.

Lord Gandolf3339 is a crybaby and that's it like it or not...he simply wasn't able to deal with it like a gentleman and a good sport I'm sorry to say...a leader that had simply decided on dissolving his clan and left his followers to fend for themselves and push it as far as posting his whining in his profile and stated that he was closing his account but then sent his army upon our Laird...for what??? If it's not taking things personally I don't know what you call it....contrary to Lord McRoach which I encouraged very much to start his own clan and rebuild and that he had been a good sport like you Lord Shenaniganz...which both of you I respect very much...for you are both true gentlemen.

Now you are all here on my back just because that Lord could not even take the heat and I'm trying to show him that it was not only the MacInnes in this...and try to discredit me as if I spread falsehood...hmmm! Interesting coming from allies...very interesting indeed.

Gentlemen,

If I may invite you to take this discussion in another thread for we are off topic in here for this kind of subject.

I am at fault here because all this discussion started after my post to the5d2d11, so again I apologize for my "screwing up" the thread.

I will ask the moderators to move it into another thread.

Sincerely,

Lady of Avalon

I just want to thank everyone for their excellent ideas and exposing weakness in the game (like the Knight issue).

We will be reviewing all of these and will be making changes and enhancements to the game. So, while we can not respond to every post right now, when we do complete one of the discussion suggestions we will post a message in that thread.

Back on topic, I would really like to be able to make weiner-mobiles instead of battering rams, since they have proven themselves so well in Wisconsin. And they could also serve for Food in non-offensive engagements. What say ye?

Lord English Mutt, you would be the only weiner in all of MK to want a weiner mobile. You have proven to be not only arrogant but most addolecent in your approch to this game.

The Scots of course insist that the pipes produce music. But the point is after all not too important. For those who love them, the pipes can evoke more vividly than any other instrument, high emotion, they can inspire valor, and tell of tragic tales of battles long ago. They can call forth merriment or sentiment. It does not matter what the sound is called, those who are deaf to its merits would not understand anyway.

I actually like the Weinermobile, don't get me wrong, but i'm sure I can speak for everyone in the game when I say we could really really use at least a couple of extra spaces in all the input boxes. Moving resources and armies is an incredible chore with things the way they currently are. I do believe that sending donations to my clan is giving me carpal tunnel cool.gif

I'm sure this has been touched on somewhere, but I think another grand idea would be in the mailbox section.

I've noted that almost any correspondence I have with mine or any other clan members we draw a line and post the message before it in any response, (just like typical email programs shows the original message in a reply)

The clan goes well, thanks for asking

Hey, how goes the clan?

I've seen messages with ---------- or ====== and even ******** but the separator matters not, clearly most members like to know what the reply is about without having to look back though their mail, especially if it's been a few days which is often the case).

I have personally received messages from Argyle, DARK, Bruce, and even Plus members using this format so I'm confident you would get a positive response from most members were this feature added.

Thanks,
Olorin

Ah yes, and I've a neat battle idea for when things get ironed out in game.

Enable the ability for one "assistance" army to station themselves at a friendly kingdom, (I think more than one would be a bit too much). Basically, if we sent an army to a kingdoms door and they were attacked, that army would participate as well.

Now the catch to make this interesting would be to have armies of this type not show up in spy reports, therefore creating an ambush type situation that would only show up in the results report. And of course for fairness, once an army has began it's march one couldn't send an army to assist.

I suppose so it would scale with a players attack ability you would need to work the math out to make the assisting army's role an "all or nothing" type of thing. Basically, the army gets wiped regardless of win or loss, the army sent just adds a percentage of attack bonus to the defender, (again, for equality and fairness). Figure a base amount of troops and set it up from like 5% to say a 25% attack bonus depending on the numbers, (again that's a math thing for the programmers). I believe putting the assisting armies in this "all or nothing" situation would quell the temptation to overbuild as they would only give a certain attack bonus regardless of size and would not recover anyone from the battle therefore taking away from their own defenses.

I'm more or less babbling at this point I think. Hopefully you get the gist of what I'm getting at.

Perhaps some others else can refine this idea further and we could make it a viable suggestion?

Keep up the excellent suggestions. We are going to reley heavily on the development of MK based on these posts.

We've also been provided with some very detailed excel spreadsheets for balancing the game with costs of armies and other attributes. Going to be fun once we get started in earnest in early 2011.
