We need your help.

Today, Mozilla Firefoxed assigned a web forgery warning to CelticRadio.net. This is a slandereous abuse which was probably instigated by an unhappy member of CelticRadio.net who might have caused problems in our community forums.

We are contacting Mozilla via live chat right now to clear this matter up, but we may need our members to help us contact Mozilla and report to them that CelticRadio.net is not a phishing site.

Our web site has absolutely no phishing schemes and our server is rock solid and secure. An audit review of our web files indicates no unauthorized access or creation of any files other than our own.

We will keep you posted of our dealings with Mozilla and will advise further action that might be needed by our members to remove this mistake that Mozilla has made.

We have been in touch with the folks at Mozilla and they have informed us this report is through Google and is only effecting the forums. We can assure you our forums are clean.

We will post more details soon.

Please keep us informed. While I've never dealt with Mozilla's blacklists, I have worked in the past to get innocent parties removed from other blacklists.

Phew. I got the forgery info before I saw this post. Let me tell you though, browsing while this going on is difficult- You need to tell it on every page that it's not forgery.

Bleh. Hopefully you can fix it soon. Stinks though about the idiots that make the rest of our lives difficult.

Ok, here are the details.

Mozilla stated that Google is reporting our community forum site as a "Web Forgery" which means that we are trying to portray to be someone else. (kinda of silly!)

A check of Google webmaster tools shows that our site is clear of all issues, whether it is phishing, forgery or scams.

Regardless, this error message only appears in the latest version of Mozilla Firefox and not Internet Explorer. While we have built the site to use both browsers, we do recommend our members to use IE.

Any suggestions or help would be much appreciate so we can get back to focusing on working on our site! smile.gif

OK Mac,

I had tried this even before you mentioned it-- for me anyway, it kept asking for an endless transcribing of nonsensical words. I'd enter one and another one would come up. They're easy enough to read... I don't know what gives. Hope this feedback helps-- if other people are having the same problem as me, it might mean it takes longer to clear celticradio's good name.

I'll come back tomorrow when it's fixed. Again, it stinks that you have to deal with this.

You can also go into Tools-=>Options and add to exceptions: celticradio.net and celtichearts.com and check off "tell me if this site is a web forgery". Restart Firefox and the message will go away.

I hate those confirmation letters too!

It can appear on older versions if people are foolish enough to trust Google to decide where they can and cannot websurf.

Screw that. Sorry to disagree with you so bluntly. tongue.gif

Here's a better recommendation for those who enjoy using a browser that is:
more secure
cross-platform
open-source

Click on "tools"
select "options"
click on the "security" tab
switch from "check by asking Google about each site I visit" to:
"Check by using a downloaded list of suspected sites"

Unfortunately, the Mozilla organization sets Google to be the default authority on accuracy of websites for the same reason Google is here at celticradio.net- both Mozilla and MacFive need Google's money to stick around. Commercial entities may be necessary partners, but that doesn't mean they're your friend.

No problem. I've tried to make the site cross browser compatible as encouraged by Aaediwen. Think it is just my own frustration with this issue.

thumbs_up.gif I've done as you said, Paul.
I'm gone on "Report our site is Clean" and obviously I wrote all the best about CelticRadio, as after all is in reality!!!
This new has gave me a fright, how is possible to be so idiot?
Why do tell something of so perfidious?
But, I'm sure Paul that everything will resolve in the better way, because the truth always bobs up!! smile.gif
I hope to listen good news about , before that is possible .
Thanks for everything, CelticRadio...

I was wondering why McAfee Security flashed me a warning yesterday? That CR may be trying to collect personal and financial information on me, (indicating a potential scam in the works).
I must say I found it unsettling, give my disapproval with the direction this “so called society” is heading in.

I got the same message by Opera today telling me that this site was on their Black List and so was set under highest warning level.

I have been on the site a lot in the past two weeks haven't had any alerts on McAfee. I do use IE

I did go to the site and report us as a clean site. I hope this all clears up quickly. This site is the BEST! thumbs_up.gif
