My nephew and his wife went to Turkey last year on their honeymoon, my nephew went to the turkish baths, and, I guess it common practice to have a complete body shave, now my nephew gets it done all the time, which I find really creepy.
It's just....not right.I like the fuzziness.

I love all of it -- back hair has only one disadvantage that I can see -- that it's harder to give someone a nice, deep back massage with the hair dragging and pulling. But no way should a man "clean up" (meaning shave or wax off) all but the chest hair.

Hairy toes means you're part hobbit. tongue.gif

I think part of it is about fitness and body-building -- when some men go to the effort to achieve a lot of muscle definition, the hair only hides it, so they remove the hair. Myself, I think it's only so much muscle definition that looks good, then it starts to get silly, then kind of ugly. No amount of muscle is worth losing hair over, though! sad.gif

I have noticed that the hair I loose on my head seems to grow out of my ears and nose. That should draw some comment. I just had a hair cut today and noticed she trimmed my ears and nose too.

Stormei;

Till the day he died my Dad was a five foot six inch replica of Gov. Arnie. When he took his shirt off he could pass for a mountain gorilla from the neck down. Also had a helluvatan in the summer.

PS. Patch me to with the ears and nose.

O.K. Some men are very possessive of their hair.

Patch just don't use moustache wax on the ear and nose hairs.

Stormeil you are probably right about fitness having influenced part of it. I wonder also if the climate doesn't influence also.

ctbard maybe that turkish bath ritual has got something. Humidity is hard to deal with every day and it is easier to apply sunscreen (oil) without the hair.

My son has the hereditary scottish receding hairline and is a lineman working outside every day. So instead of trying to deal with it he shaves his head.

I've notice the "fashion" for some actors is a scruffy beard. My husband has had a moustache most of his life and when he doesn't have to go into the office, he does not shave everyday.

But.... if you are baring the body I still think you need to clean it up. Besides I don't think men can handle waxing.

My husband says his hair is slowly sliding off his head and down his back.
I still disagree about men having their bodies, it's just creepy.

Still love a man with it. rminds me of something else,my daughter's husband has lots and if I'm out there she makes him get a shirt on. I think I'd leave him alone just let me look at it. rolleyes.gif

Wow,I didn't know my question about men's shaving their bodies would stirred much hair... poster_oops.gif euh! I mean opinions...just joking here.

It's really fun to read some comments and I agree with most of them.
Men are "born" to have hair on their bodies it's unatural to remove them.

I can understand when some may look like gorillas they could have complex but there is always a limit to removing it.

Like I said hair is what makes a man look viril and handsome.

my hunny has the same problem...even his eyebrows grow long so I keep them trimmed for him. He also does the shaved head thing cause he's going bald. Most of the time he has a beard, which I like...
I like hair on a man, on his chest, his back, his legs, his face...I thought we women were the fairer sex and were the ones that's supposed to be all smooth and soft! Wow! How times have changed!!!

The ears...it's the damn ears! I have to give them a quick buzz every other day. If I didn't, my ears would be as fuzzy as this guy's... fox.gif

This is where it is the least aesthetic for a man to have hair, so in my hubby's case I just wax it off, the ears, a tiny bit between eyebrows as well otherwise it would be a big black line and I trim it too, and of course the grooming of the nose.

A beard is great, a mustache is great, a goaty is great but hair in the ears and on the nose and around the ears is not really unattractive.

So I take a real pleasure in grooming hubby with wax.... twisted.gif

All bushes needs trimming once in a while...so the ears and nose.

Why do women have to tell us how to drive and give directions? We've lived in the same place for over 20 years and at least once a week as we get close to the driveway I get "Slow down, your turn is coming up." I MAY not always recall what the date is, but I HAVE NOT forgotten where I live yet. disgust.gif
