I found this and I think every American need to see it. I know some of the folks here will just brush it off. I pray more will look at it and realize the threat is real.

The Muslims aren’t worried because their going to Mecca, and the Christians aren’t worried because their going to Heaven, and I’m not worried because I won’t have to listen to the BS anymore!

The problem is RELIGION in general! That’s what we all have to wake up too, not just the people of America!

Sorry if my opinion upsets you.

I'm not surprised one bit at the comments on the video so far. But that's ok. Just remember Salman Rushdie and the "Santanic Versis". Look at what he's going through still to this day. Look at the cartoonist who drew the Mohammad cartoons. They have been given a death threat. Thousands upon thousands rioted as a result. Dan Brown, the author of the "Di Vinci code" as far as I know never had to go into hiding. Even though the book questions, in a fictional format, the validity of Christianity as a whole.

I live in the same neighborhood with a muslim and have for 7 years.. He was a local businessman, an elected official in local govt. It took about 5 years but his belief in the Koran destroyed him. His stated belief that he could buy and sell anyone in this community, failure to follow the stipulations of his contracts with govt. entities, spousal abuse and bankruptcy fraud. If you take the time to read the Koran as I did, you find that what he did is not only allowed, but encouraged. I also found that as a non muslim who will not convert, I am an infidel. All muslims are commanded to kill the infidels (IE: me and probably you). If my church commanded me to kill you because you refused to take up our beliefs, I would be finding a new church damn quick! I have known 10 or more muslims in the past and have found only one (from Syria) who took up our customs. Anyone who supports the militant teachings of the Koran or persons who practice those teachings can not be trusted! That eliminates two candidates for president. The other candidate can not control himself and appears to have a number of screws loose. We need a "Teddy Roosevelt" and all we have to choose from are three not so funny jokes. That certainly does not bode well for America today!

I agree with you Patch. We do need someone with the Teddy Roosevelt. He's definatly one of my favorites. When it comes to Muslims, my wife and I have a few friends who are muslims. One is very close. He's from Iran however, you could say he calls himself a Muslim like some people call themselves a Christian. Only in name. Ie, they don't practice except maby on holidays if that. He is one of a few that speaks out against terrorism and calls himself and American first who happens to have been born in Iran. The other is also from Iran and lives next door to me. He is more or less the same in his belief as well as his family. My concern is not towards ALL Muslims. My wifes family is all from the Middle East. Non-Muslims. Now coming from folks who lived as minorities, Christians, in an Islamic society, they have read the Koran in Arabic and they definatly don't trust most Muslims.

The acquaintence from Syria is much as the neighbor you describe. He came here and embraced our customs and way of life. He was trustworthy and honest with non muslims. The Koran does not encourage that practice at all. I judge people by how they treat others (myself included) and how they feel about my country.

Those who were opressed in muslim countries already have some insight into what America may be facing down the road!

Look, NS, I know you're a proud American, and a father of a young kid, and very concerned about the future of your family and your country. I mean genuinely concerned -- I trust you, that you are concerned, and that's why you post stuff like this from time to time, to share your concern.

BUT--

this is undocumented, overheated rhetoric, supported by nothing except a bunch of stats that don't even jive with each other. How come when we look at old footage like Leni Riefenstahl's Nazi propaganda, we know just what we're seeing -- but this stuff can wash over us with a ring of authenticity? How much hindsight does it take?

In spite of your genuine concern, which as I say I respect and feel for, I have to tell you that this kind of stuff is a hair away from a hate crime, and although I would not take away your right to speak your own mind for the world -- still I wish you wouldn't post pre-fab panicmongering that you find on the web.

While there are some points here that I agree with, I do not feel that the problem is the Muslim faith. The biggest problem is our loss of National Identity. We no longer see ourselves as AMERICANS, but as sub-sects. Italian-American, African-American, Norwegian-American, et al! We cannot stand as Americans if we cannot BE Americans first and foremost! Many of you know that I am very proud of my Indian ancestry, as well as my Norwegian ancestry. But I am first and foremost an AMERICAN, and stand by ALL that stands for, including the right to the faith of your choice.
IF you belive that this video clip has any validity, then by all means be vigilant! But to single out ONE group because of Faith, Color, or anything else that might be different is NOT the America that I stand behind!

Enough of my ranting! tongue.gif

At this point in our history, our greatest threat, and that of the free world, is from the religion of Islam. I have heard no one suggest detention camps or gas chambers and ovens. Vigilance yes!

We have, unfortunately for us, helped turn a small terrorist group into a massive religious movement. (jihad) It is now so widespread that we can not win.

I have children and grandchildren who will inherit the calamity we have built today!

What do you mean exactly, by saying we have built it? In saying we have failed by not preventing something (and exactly what were we supposed to prevent, and more important, how?), you go to something we built? I'm not following that one.

You won't hear about detention camps or associated atrocities -- even if we build them within the borders instead of jobbing them out offshore; most people are content not to be told, and the authorities aren't keen on reporting their activities.

Where does vigilance go next, for you personally, when you think you see something and you think you are sure?

Dog. You said it all. You said exactally how I feel. My family came from Canada, Sweden, the UK etc. We are very proud of where we came from. My wife is from Jordan as many all ready know. Her family isn't exactally proud of their heritage especially her dad. I try to encourage them to be proud of who they are and their culture. But they say they are Americans first and wish to forget their past. I still don't agree with them when they say they wish to forget their past culture. I believe America was intended to be a melting pot not a multi-cultural society. Teddy Roosevelt once said a man who loves another country as much as his own is like saying he loves other women as much as his wife.
