I'm sorry to hear about your accident, Dundee. Hope you are okay.

great post, Stoirmeil. sometimes we get the blues and think it's just temporary, but it just stays and stays until we're overwhelmed. i see it all the time at work (i'm a nurse). ask somebody about it: a minister, a doctor, a therapist. this time of year is harder than most because of seasonal depression, too, which can be relieved to an extent with sunlight and vitamins.

hope everyone is feeling better today, wishing you all warm fuzzies.

i am sorry i didnt mention that indeed i am none the worse for the "telephone pole incident" as it has been come to be known... i banged up my hand (will he ever play hurdy gurdy again *L*) and on inpact i heard my neck pop which relieved a sore neck i had since another heavy snow (dam snow.... and the grandkids arnt old enough to shovel yet *w*)

oh and stormie.... i never drink when i feel this way .... maybe that is the problem *L*

maggie one of my favorite quotes from Roseanne Roseannadanna "Well, jane(dundee), it just goes to show you, it's always something, either you're depressed at Christmas or you got toilet paper hangin' from your shoe!.... I thought I was going to die!" *L*

the rest of you thanks so much for your input the cyber hugs ect are helpful sometimes it seems nobody really cares..... i had a friend at work say aww you just need a big hug and he hugged me right there in the mens room glad no one walked in *rotfl*... maybe its just the weather... i hate being cooped up....

aaed .... i pray ye farewell brother.... beer_mug.gif note.gif

that talk about Roseanne Roseannadanna made me want to hear her again

How about some antidepressant...I know that may sound drastic but some people needs them to function normally when nothing else works.
It's just an opinion.LOA

dundee, when you banged your head, did you knock some sense into it?!!! Just kiddin'! angel_not.gif My hubby backed into a telephone pole a couple of years ago, it happened about a mile from the house and he did what he thought was the honest thing and reported it. He got a ticket for not having his vehicle under control and got a ticket. I always thought honesty paid!!! I guess it does when your on the receiving end. The cop even came to the house with the ticket.

It looks like Roseanne R. need to take a trip to the beauty parlor, her hair looks like a bird could build a nest in it!!! smile.gif

John Clements, is that thick or thin spagetti? Do you have marinara sauce, sauce with ground meat or meatballs. Spagetti is pretty good when your down in the dumps! biggrin.gif

That’s what great about Spaghetti, (or Pasta in general) the options might be endless. Although I usually just go with a Red meat sauce.

There are days when I just like to sit at the piano and play for hours. I haven't done that in a long time but I think I need to. I remember losing track of time when I would really get on a roll. Pretty good therapy.

I too enjoy chatting online with friends, I also find relief for stress by posting here in the Boards. And on a couple of other boards that I belong to, as well as in IRC where I am in 2 Pagan chat groups. I am an admin in one!

Depression is so real.
sad.gif I definitely have suffered from the seasonal kind. My self help line was always" Nothing lasts forever" simplistic, but works for me. It is so hard sometimes to come out of oneself and beat the blues. Sometimes joining in with others to volunteer, help out, reach out, can help so much to focus on others rather than self. For some, doctors care is needed, for others focusing out of ones self helps.
I really hope for all those that suffer from depression.
Can you imagine how Job must have felt?!?!

kind people. -Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972) Theology Professor
