A friend of mine sent me this and asked if I would post when I knew alot of women would see it,told I knew just the place.

Cancer Update from Johns-Hopkins

Bottled water in your car is very dangerous. This is how Sheryl Crow got breast cancer. She was on the Ellen show and saidthis same exact thing. This has been identified as the most common cause of thehigh levels in breast cancer. The Doctor told her: women should not
drinkbottled water that has been left in a car. He said that the heat and theplastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer . So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car, and, pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kindwe need to know and be aware of ,that just might save us! The heat causestoxins from the plastic to leak into the water and they have found these toxinsinbreast tissue. Use a stain less steel Canteen or a glass bottle when you can!LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND / DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE.This information is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center aswell. No plastic containers in microwave. No water bottles in freezer No plastic wrap in microwave. A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly
poisonous to the cells of our bodies. Don't freeze yourplastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic. Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital ,wason a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us. He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plasticcontainers... This especially applies to foods that contain fat. Image removed by sender. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, andplastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body... Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food.. You get the same results, only without thedioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the
container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons... Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerouswhen placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the highheat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and dripinto the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead.Thank you

QUOTE (flora @ 01-Feb-2009, 06:18 PM)

Well I am so tired of worrying over the economy. What's spring fashion colors going to be? So far I have seen the boho look coming back which is great. I think bold and bright will take over to give everyone a lift in their spirits. O.K, girls what will you be wearing?

Flora

I'm not much into the bold colors and prints. I usually stay with earthtones, pastels and black. I have also noticed that for spring the tops are the shorter lengths. I really like the longer tops to hide parts that just refuse to get smaller. tongue.gif

Girls I know you would appreciate this!

UCLA STUDY (VERY INTERESTING & SHORT)

A study worth sharing with friends both male and female:

A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the
kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where
she is in her menstrual cycle.

For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she tends to be more attracted to a man with duct tape over his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire.

No further studies are expected.

Little Sandy was in the habit of sucking his thumb all the time. His mother tried everything to break him of the habit. Finally, one day she pointed to a fat man with a very large stomach and said that the man had grown his stomach because he did not stop sucking his thumb.

The next day the child was with his mother in a supermarket, and he kept staring at a woman with a stomach that was obviously not normal. In fact the woman was very pregnant.

Finally the irate woman said to the child, " Stop staring at me like that. You don't know who I am."

" No, " said the boy, " but I do know what you have been doing."

I think that this peri-menopausal stuff has damaged my brain. I went in yesterday and had all of my hair whacked off short. Actually I love it but talk about a shock. ohmy.gif

Oh the freedom!!!!! After wearing my hair half way down my back, I had mine cut. My husband actually had tears. I considered growing it long again and it has reach my shoulders but I am getting it cut again Monday. You can do so much more with it short anyway. Goes with a sassy attitude better!

Had my hair long for years then cut it. OH how I miss it so once again I am letting it grow back out. I miss the long braid running down the middle of my back the most and I can do it all by myself.

QUOTE (flora @ 23-Jan-2009, 07:54 PM)
Does anyone ever watch the program Kitchen Nightmares with Gordan Ramsey? I just happen to catch a segment while he was in Inverness, Scotland. To help the chefs become more aware of what the public was looking for he had all the chefs put on kilts. What a women's dream ---- 5 men in the kitchen cooking with kilts on!!!!!

Flora

Flora, just watched this one for the third time and must say I don't care if it's a rerun I would watch it again and again. Loved the ending part with the kilts going up.
