All right Ladies, I need your help.

I feel like I have come to the right group here. I'm 51 and the emotional rollacoaster that I have been on lately is finally getting to me.

I married my high school sweetheart and we have been married 33 years. Those who have been married a good while - have you ever had a day that you question - Why did I marry this man? How much can I get away with and plead insanity? I write this with a sad smile in place. I do love him, I just can't stand him sometimes.

Anyone else have the same experience at least once in awhile?

Yes Ma'am!!!
I am 49 and hubby and I have been married for 29 years. I love him with my whole heart, but sometimes......
In the same breath, he puts up with alot from me. The perimenopause part of life has turned me into someone I don't recognize at times. Hot flashes, mood swings, and "not tonight". wink.gif I'll be glad when this is over with.

Althea---Yes, we were talking about the Select comfort beds. We love ours. They have air chambers in them. You can adjust each side to suit each person. Told hubby I wanted twin beds. The rock hard mattress was killing my back, so we decided to try the Select Comfort. Best thing we ever did. They are expensive, but worth it. IMHO

Althea,I love mine. As I said I have mine for 4 years and something happened with the motor. I went to the store when I brought it at told them what it did , they made a phone call ,handed me a box told me to put the motor in it when my new one came UPS. 4 days later I had a new one at NO charge and still sleeping like a baby. sleep1.gif

Valpal59:

Thanks, I feel more humane. I know most of it is probably perimenopause. But don't men suffer the same condition? I think Mid Life Crisis is another name for it. (smile) We get called insane and they get a new wife that is half their age.

If hubby wants a younger woman, then she has to take all of it. Laundry, messes, etc. LOL

Don't worry Flora...I think all married people feel that way at least occasionally... One minute loving them and the next minute wondering what planet they came from and trying to figure out a fast way to send them back there.....

Thanks ladies,

I feel better just venting. Valpal59, I wonder if the younger women would put up with what we do sometimes.

Leenie, thanks for helping. But girl, what are you doing up at 1 AM? Don't you have a wedding coming up? You are going to need all the rest you can get.

Not in this lifetime. wink.gif

On GMA this morning they were talking about blondes and brunettes. They said brunettes married richer men. I looked at hubby and he looked at me and we both broke out laughing. Told him to show me the money.LOL They need to do better research. smile.gif

Hey, we have a peeping John. (Sorry!) If you are brave enough to come into a room of menopausal women, let the game begin.
