thanks madadh and the rest of you she is still in intensive care but is getting better every day hope is that she will be able to go home this week. her mother lives an hour away from the hospital and is up there every day all day... it must be hard to leave the hospital and have to leave your little one behind...... anyway your prayers are deeply appreciated i went to see her for an hour on saturday got some pictures and held the tiny darling ... it was like we were in a world of our own... we were talking to each other and she smiled... my wife said it was gas... anyway here is a couple of pics so you can see her... i didnt realize how tiny she was till i saw the pic of me holding her.... dang....
thanks again and your continued prayers are appreciated.....

Ivy is a beautiful little angel and full of great wisdom and love. Don't let anyone ever tell you her sweet smile is just gas. They just don't understand.
It is long and hard. Jean-Thomas was small and had to stay in the hospital for awhile. I wanted so to bring him home or at least stay with him. I had 2 other children at home I needed to care for. I wasn't suppose to travel but my doctor knew he couldn't keep me away from my little one. So everyday we traveled the almost 2 hours to the hospital so I could be with Jean-Thomas for at least an hour or two. Those days before we were finally able to bring him home lasted forever. But the day finally came. When we got home the children had made a birthday and welcome home party for us.
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Cherish your time with your little angel and take pleasure in the day. Hang in there. Though the time now seems long, it will pass quickly.

dundee, I just read this post and am glad to hear that Ivy is on the road to recovery. What a precious darling baby girl and how beautiful she is. I know she's in good hands with the dr's and nurses but most of all with our loving God. I'll remember Ivy and her family in my prayers. I'm with you when you said she smiled at you. She's bonding with her ol' Grandpa. Ivy's going to be a very special grandbaby in your life... Take Care...

Dundee,

Good to hear that Ivy is home. She is still in my prayers. I know how you must feel, my grandson (Connor) is just 4 months old and comes in at a hearty 17lbs. We are still worried about his hearing (Dad was born deaf), but we take that on a daily basis.

Who knows maybe someday the two could meet and we can be more than just CR buddies. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I'm so happy Ivy is home. It's so hard with a little one in the hospital. May all your family enjoy your little angel and all the blessings she brings you.
