Now, I don't doubt it could be 95% true (I haven't even written code to gain hardware functionality in LINUX. Windows is even more of a PITA to code unless you're writing a GUI, from what I've seen)

Sounds like the exact thing Microfluff would do. But even with my admitted bias, I would hope they wouldn't be quite so stupid as to shoot them selves in the foot with quad rockets like this.
