My mom and I were talking today and began to define happiness. This made me think about other people and wonder what makes them happy. So this post is for you to share what little everyday things you enjoy. Happiness is... getting an email from my best friend. Leslie |

Happiness is..... A rainy day that I can spend reading in bed Watching my kids succeed in something they are jazzed about Hearing from special friends Watching my dog chase her tail Time on the farm Sunsets but not moonrises (they ache too much) Hot BBQ Chicken wings A good movie Great music Chicken herder (inside joke) Watching the absolute proof of ghosts video Stimulating conversation Tender touches A car that starts in the wintertime A warm home on a winter day and an air conditioned one in the summer Low humidity! A day with no whining A full iced tea jug and plenty of fresh lemmon Dr. Pepper My book getting published (oops... went into the realm of ecstatic fantasy) The awesome people I've met here Do I have to stop? |

More happiness... Getting to see my friend Nathan, who works in Virginia Beach. He and I are the closest thing each other has to a brother... Singing along to good songs on the radio in the car (especially pre-"Black Album" Metallica)... Seeing the friendly faces at my Twelve Step meetings... The stimulating music and awesome, if sometimes spirited, discussions here at CelticRadio... Eating a really good Italian beef sandwich and french fries... Hearing my favorite phrase in sports: "...for a WHITE SOX WINNER!!!"... |

O'siyo, Happiness is: ~Wearing my favourite, big, fuzzy sweatshirt while sitting on the beach at night feeling the waves run over my feet ~Watching/listening to someone laugh uncontrollably because of something funny I shared::lol ~Feeling my nose and cheeks freeze as I ride my Harley on a cool, crisp Autumn eve ~Realising every day just how truly blessed I am ~'Talking' to the animals ~~Sty-U |

Happiness i so much a matter of perception. Often times we (as individuals) forget what truly makes us happy. We tend to think in terms of large things:cars, money, world domination... Its my opinion that happiness is ,really, in the small things. watching lightning dance across the sky and having your son there who is in complete awe. I hug from my boy.. the smile when my son sees me an I love you from my son My boy laying on my chest and telling me good morning My son Waking up next to the one you love Groggy kisses with morning breath first thing in the morning Snuggling with the one you love those quiet moments when neither of you have to say anythign but a million words are conveyed with but a glance and a smile The emotion that comes with a single touch of a hand . the feel of warm breath on skin during an embrace ...enough of that...sorry sunsets sunrises sitting in a field and getting to the point where you can hear the music being made by all of natures things. where the brook, the wind and the russle of the grass sings to you finishing a story that I am happy with(doesnt happen often) firends comrades loved ones the respect of them being able to be happy looking into my soul and seeing a glimpse of the beauty everyone else sees...its fleeting but its there. anyway..I ramble |

Seeing someone honestly enjoy something I've done. Good music The flow of a stream to the page a laughing brook a good rain walking in the woods walking at night talking with friends about everything and nothing Water (I so long to walk a beach alone at night, but it's so far away) A freshly fallen blanket of snow remembering an interesting dream and most recently: finally meeting someone who has been looking forward to seeing you as much as you've been looking forward to seeing them (enough to spend quite a bit of money and time for it) |

Happiness is discovering that the stranger beside you is a friend you just haven't met yet. That and a pint of Bushey's bitter, birddog will know what I'm talking about, for those who don't http://www.bushys.com/ |

Happiness is available to us all the time, if we just learn to recognize and accept it. |

hearing "I love you" family companionship dogs |

krm, The words are empty unless they are really meant. Too many time have 'I love you' been said just to get what you want The words 'Ilove YOU' should be said only once, that is to the person they are meant, after that the words become meaningless. |

I'm wanting to add my 2c on that, although it's somewhat off-topic. Is it not true that you can love several people? One one level there's friends and family. I've also got some friends who count their good friends as loved ones. Perhaps loving someone doesn't mean that they're the one you're going to marry, but someone you care very deeply for and enjoy being around. The gift then, is having several people you love, and several who love you. Then maybe perspective changes that much when you finally find someone to marry. Haven't been there yet. Just my 2c |

I agree with you, my friend. will add my 2c later. |

Happiness is.. to love and to be loved a smile on a child's face and in his eyes the promise of the rising sun to the new day the precious moments when time seems to stand still and you are listening with your soul wide opened, feeling peace and inner harmony... I could go on... |

Sounds great! What about: A breathe shared late at night A walk on the beach holding hands with the one you love Finding the one and only one who rocks your world waking in the arms of your soulmate a gentle kiss goodnight touching in the rain ???? |

Suprising your family with an unexpected visit. (This is especially fun when you live 1,000 miles apart.) Having exact change. Learning something new. Hot cocoa and marshmallows on a rainy day. |
