If you ever want to see the Peckery alive again....(oops I accidently must have slipped into ransom note mode unsure.gif )

(clear throat and starts typing again)
If you want to hear what the Peckery sounds like you can hear him live tonight between 9&10pm CST at

http://www.live365.com/stations/wklu

Arminta and Blaq Lily are doing an interview on an Indianapolis Broadcast radio station (that we taped a couple of weeks ago) and it includes rare footage of the Peckery actually speaking. (we only allow him a microphone at live shows during dire emergencies)

The above address is for the radio station simulcast.

Peace

Mikel
(now where did I leave that list of ransom notes I need to write today - rumages through wads of paper in the Raven nest while continuing to grumble)

Peckery, think hard. Did you change your clock a couple of weeks ago? (change not clean laugh.gif )

I'll go back to listen to Mike Turner's very small band. Cool sounding horn.

Sorry about the confusion Leo. But we are on Central time. Mike Turner came on at 9:30 by my watch which was where we were supposed to be. I guess Mike was a better opportunity tongue.gif

I have threatened to kidnap both the station manager and the shows sponsor for this insult wink.gif

I'll Let you know when they are actually supposed to run the spot.

Thanks for tuning in and I hope that all is well in the salt mines.

I see why the confusion Leo. Below is the local time for Chicago which is the same as Indianapolis yet the World Clock has them listed as Central time. Perhaps they don't change us back and forth since technically we are on EST but we do not observe DST

Okay Leo

We will just have to syncronise our watches wink.gif

After enduring my tirade about how the station has embarrassed not only me but my family and my ancesters, I was able to extract a promise from the station that they will air our segment next week between 9 and 10 CST (pretend it's Chicago) I do not know if we will be the first or the second half hour of the show.

I've got to run right now to defuse all of the booby traps that I set at the station to get them to bend to my will tongue.gif

What no diesel?
Wuss!
I like a heavier vehicle like a 250 & 350 class truck. Diesels have less to go wrong with them and they just keep kicckin! When I pull things with it I want it to stay on the road not float. If I go 60-65 MPH I get 18.4 per gallon. Now if I go over 70 I get about 16MPH.

The new 150 is a nice truck, enjoy it and give it a bath on Sunday's!

Just so you know we are on again with the Peckery speaks this monday night between 9 & 10pm (Chicago time wink.gif ) at
http://www.live365.com/stations/wklu

Also Annabelle the last real truck that I owned had a 550 Cummins and I loved it. I've always said that if I ever get a full size pickup again I must have a Cummins diesel. Although I really loved my 425 Kitty Cats right up to the day I got my Cumapart tongue.gif (trucker lingo for Catapillar and Cummins)

If I kept it under 80 on rolling terain (my 550) with 80.000 lbs I could get a quite respectable 6 mpg tongue.gif

I am going to get my scanner hooked up to this PC later on this week end and I will post pics of my old trucks in the virtual garage (mostly KW and Peterbilt)

Peace

Peterbilts are great built trucks over in Savannah. International diesels are very good too but I prefer the Cummins Diesel over any other. They just won't die!

Songs were good! Very relaxing listening tonight!

Raven, Arminta has a beautiful voice. I really enjoyed the music and where did Peckery have his sock monkey ya'll were talking about...can't he leave the kids at home once in a while?

When is the next time ya'll will play again?

Posted by: Raven 18-May-2004, 03:06 PM
He had it right on his snare drum with all of it's sock monkey cloths off (he can be really twisted) Tau Tau thought is was just a towel on first glance tongue.gif

We are taping another Radio interview in Chicago that will be on the net the 5th of June. But that will be Arminta and myself only.

We have quite a few shows on the books. (mostly in the mid-west) We are hoping to expand our horizons by next year to include some more distant festivals and acoustic venues.

We played last fall at the Verizon Center in Atlanta - isn't that pretty close to you Annabelle?

Our next show is at Beatniks in Marion,IN at the end of the month. Then we will have a bit of a hiatus while the Peckery makes a trek to his home country (California) for a month and then will be back on track kicking off the 4th of July at the Claddagh Irish Pub in Columbus,OH with the full band.

BTW I am going through the list of fests for the reunion and I hope to make it to one or 2 this year that make it through the preliminary check list. Perhaps Arminta and I will be able to meet you then.

Maisky came to a show in Chicago a few months ago and we got to meet him. It was quite a suprise. I didn't expect him to be 6'4" and 225lbs of solid muscle. He looks good for a man of 34 biggrin.gif

Peace

Mikel

O, Mikel, you have taken up lieing in your old age haven't you? Maisky 6'4", 225, solid muscle but 34? I thinketh you areth a great kidder! 34? come on, everything else I believe since he's my personal slave. Nope not sharing! He's mine.

Atlanta is about 2 hours north of me but let me know if you guys play there.

Also let everyone know where and when you guys will be playing and especially if you go to any festivals. Everyone is pitching in and checking out the festivals so we can have this square dance at the best one for everyone. It would be great to get together with others from this site before 2008 if possible and get their input into organizing this thing.

I'll be attending the one in Tenn Oct 1 so hope other's will join me there to check it out.
But again, I really enjoyed the music! Thanks!
