New Social Features

We have added a few more features to our Social Network feed on our main page:

• Like button is now on all member profiles. Like a member and that member is notified through email of your like. Member profiles will now show the members you like.
• Rate a picture in our member gallery and a preview of the picture and rating shows on our main page.
• Gaelic Proverbs are now displayed in the Social feed - a new one every 3 hours!

The Celtic Radio Social Feed is on our main page here: http://www.celticradio.net

Just leave the page open and the social feed will automatically update with member actions and Celtic Radio actions.

I haven't been listening much lately, sorry! So today is the first day I've paid attention to the Social Network feed on the front page. And I have to say I'm not a fan of having every little thing I do on this site displayed on the front page. Particularly the song ratings, that's a bit awkward if there is a song that I don't particularly like. If I can't opt out somehow, then I'll have to limit my activities to song requests and positive ratings. I was looking forward to catching up on everything going on.

Our social network feed does not show any private information, only general and public information which most is available on the profile page.

We hope that having this feature will allow people to discover new music on our site and other features.

With that said though, we can definitely look into having an opt. out feature at a future date.
