| This is probably a very superficial thread, but I do so love celebrity news and love to discuss it. Does anyone else? Ok, my current major topic is Anna Nichole Smith... so much drama! What did she die of? I believe it was a combination of things. pneumonia from being so run down; Trimspa products (due to epiphedrine) to weaken her heart; alchohol and pain killers taking their toll on her body and heart.............and a huge broken heart of losing her son. Who will get her body? I hope Howard K Stern. Not that I am a fan of his, but he was with her for the last 20 years and took care of her. It was him she sought out to take care of her will...not her family. I really hope she can be buried in the Bahamas next to her son. Who is the father of Dannielyn Hope? I believe Larry Birkhead. That child looks just like him..to me! Well I guess time will tell in all this, eh? Britney Spears...out of control? me thinks so! Seems like most folks are going to rehab these days and she is one gal I hope does so. If she plans to get custody of her kids, it appears she is not doing a very good job in showing she is a hands on mother. Y'all have any opinions you wish to share? |

| Hi..my opinion...she died of drugs & alcohol. I feel so sorry for the baby. Who will get her body-good question. Poor Anna & POOR Britney!!! I think she is self distructing.... Slainte  |

| Lady of the Loch, I don't believe they have the toxicology report yet. Well, I do, but believe are telling the public it will be 3-4 weeks. But I do agree with Rindy's opinion as well as to what she died of. I just found out today Britney shaved her hair! Holy cow! What the heck? These young celebrities are all in a major path of destruction. And if Britney doesn't watch it, she may lose those boys to Fed-Ex! |

| No, I didn't think that up myself. (I wish) There are many folks who call him that as well!. I just posted it on here for all to read. Love calling him Fed-Ex though! I just find it all sooooooooo amusing! hahahahhahahaha been listening to the trial for Anna Nicole Smith all day while doing other things. But still, I am probably a very sick person for listenign to all this..but learning a lot, actually! I love celebrity news. What can I say?!   |

| Anna Nicole and Britney help me to realize how much I love my dull, unexciting life ! Believe me, with raising seven kids, I've had enough drama for a reality show! I think it goes to show you that wealth and fame, though not wrong in and of themselves, are not all they are cracked up to be! Getting ready to watch American Idol! Now, that show is a hoot! And some of the folks even have some talent! |

| Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong is back together?! That is terrific news! I always liked them together as well. Been watching the Anna Nichole Smith trial all day again and I felt badly for that judge. He got pretty emotional about his final decision. Soon after there was ambulances and all I could think of is, gosh! I hope the poor man didn't have a heart attack over all this! But I do think he made the right final decision. I just wish they would do this stupid DNA testing and find out who the heck the father is of this Dannielynn! That poor child. Brittney? Gosh! That gal is having a major melt-down. Not too promising for her to get custody of her kids right now. For someone who "claims" she does not want media attention, I don't believe it. I think she craves it and does anything she can to get it...even shave her head! |

| I have been listening/ watching the Anna nicole stuff, too. I have changed my feelings toward Stern. I think he is a leach who wanted her "fame" and money for himself. He enabled her to become a drug addict and helped her to lead a destructive life. I really hope Birkhead gets the baby, and thank goodness Anna will be buried by her son. Now if her Mom will leave her along things will be OK I don't understand why the press can't let these people just live their lives and do their jobs. A singer or actor shouldn't be followed all the time and have to become what the press thinks they should be rather than who they really are. I would never wish fame on anyone anymore. I cheer those celebs who have managed to keep their lives private. I do admit that I love the gossip though. I guess I'm kind of a hypocrite in that aspect.  |

| glad I am not the only one following this mystery, suspense, tragedy. It is only a matter of time before they make a movie out of this whole story. I watch Court TV and the more I learn I have come to the place where you are, ballydun. I have come to believe everything you said about Stern. I didn't before, but I do now! I hope Birkhead is the father and will get custody of the baby. I also want Anna's mother out of the picture. It amazes me how people want nothing to do with you in life and then all of sudden all these family members feel entitled to have you in death! why? Guilt? I love the gossip myself and I would admit to be a hypocrite. I admit to having a fascination with the celebrity world! |

Hey JP! Both of those news are interesting! I could see that happening to Brittney. Hopefully, she gets the help she needs. Charlotte Church grew up?!  Wow! Well good on her! Note to all. MacFive was kind enough to start up a new "Current Events" thread in the political forum, where we can take these celebrity topics to discuss in there instead. Of course, we may get thrown out by folks discussing more important world topics of the day than superficial celebrities. But celebrity chat is an escape for me and maybe for some of you too. | Charlottle Church is a Welsh singer whose career was first made around the age of 13. She is a Lee Ann Rimes/Britney Spears of Classical music. Like Lee Ann her first break came at a young age. For Charlotte around age 13-14. Her CD was a mixture of Classical and religious music with some Brodway snuck in now and then. Her CDs were everywhere since she was a PBS discovery much like Celtic Women. After 3 huge Cd her popularity in America faded but she is still popular in England. And like Britney her clean cut image is gone and she tends to spark more controversy than music. She has become fodder for the British tablods and really doesn't seem to mind what outrageous thing she does and who it hurts. British tabs report every ugly detail cuz, thats what they do. Wikipedia has a decent bio on her you can check on. Keith is suppose to play Capt Jack's dad. Its been a rumor since the first film. I guess he couldn't be in the second because of the tour and head injury. Probably will be in the third but hopefully it will be a short appearence that does not distract from the story. The public likes theri stars inbits and pieces. Too much and we get sick of them and toss them out. |

| Pirates 3 comes out Memorial Day of this year. There will be a fourth movie but Depp is the only one who will be in it at this point. Bloom's character may be killed off and Kara may be in it. All rumors right now. Some minor characters will also be gone. Maybe the parrott gets stewed. Shrek 3 will also be out this May. Should be a good month. So did anyone watch the new Robin Hood series on BBC America tonight after the Dr. Who marathon? Not too shabby. |

| I read the article too. Seems rather absurd to me, but nothing surprises me anymore. I hope it isn't true. I just wondering if she isn't going through some major post-partum depression. Two other gals I wonder if they are going to make it this year are Nichole Richie and Lindsay Lohan. What gets me is all this wanting attention from the media and anything they can do to get it, but then when it is not convenient for them, they get all put out of shape and act out like 5 year olds. Roberto, I didn't see Robin Hood either. I will have to look for that. And thanks for the update on Pirates 3! I am a huge "Grey's Anatomy" fan and have been hearing rumors that Katherine Heigl, who plays Izzie, is having contract issues. I hope this is all blown out of porportion with the media as I really love Izzie's character in this show. I sure would hate to see her leave! Are any of you into talk shows at all? If so, which ones? I love "The View." I don't agree with everything that is being expressed in the "hot topics" but I love all the banter and different opinions. I do like "Oprah" once and awhile. |

| I use to watch talk soup when it first started but now the only talk type show I really try to watch is the Daily Show. I also try not to miss Late Night with Craig Furgeson. Love the scottish accent. |

| Hmmm...I keep hearing that there was this "former" contestant that was doing questionable behavior. haven't heard anything about anyone who is presently in AI, but that doesn't mean anything with me! Sometimes I am late to the party! I really like Melinda Doolittle and Lakeesha, but that Jordin Sparks is pretty awesome too. I am not too crazy about any of the guys. I know lots of folks like Blake, but while he is cute, I just don't see him as that great of a singer. Just my not so humble opinion! hee hee! |

| Yes! And why are we not surprised?! Plus, she apparently had this infection wound in her buttocks from needles and as a result got a blood infection?! I mean the woman was under the care of several medical professionals!....an MD, bodyguard paramedic and nurse! Surely they would have recognized the symptoms and such. Makes me very very suspicious! I just hope Dannielynn will get with her DNA father and hope it is all for the best for the child. |

| yeah, there was an infection at the wound site where a needle had been inserted. No telling what happened there, but it caused a pretty bad bacterial infection. I saw photos of the room she stayed in and other stuff. It was horrific. I am sure that woman suffered before she died. I sure hope the DNA results come in soon...and I hope Larry Birkhead is the father. At least at this point in time I wish so. If I eat my words later, send me a box of styrofoam to go with it.   |

They don't seem to have very good decision making skills, and no real parental guidence to help them with these problems. A few do OK but many just lose it! |

| I don't know what's going on with our young celebrities today but I certainly do not see them as role models for our young people. I know some of these folks are very young and we all make mistakes when we are young,but the media just seems to take every negative detail and accentuate it. But when you see repeat offenses, one does have to wonder. I feel badly for these young starlets who are out in the media subjected to this. However, I am not feeling real sympathy for Britney Spears right now. If the reports are true that she left a plane and held up passengers for an hour just cause she didn't get leather seats, I find that abominable! What is worse is that she is supposedly touring and charging outrageous prices to see her at these performances, only to have her lip sync! Where is the accountability? Makes me sick! Birkhead is the daddy! And Lady of the Loch, you can take back your styrofoam as I won't be needing it! |
