I just found an old email in my spam folder regarding the app. I'm so excited about this! Not having the best access via a mobile device in the past is what kept me from listening as much as I'd like to. I also like that you can now use TuneIn to listen with Apple Car Play, as I do have an Apple Car Play radio in my car. Thank you! Thank you!

People who don't use their signal when changing lanes or turning. One of my biggest pet peeves.

People who throw their cigarette butts out the window

people who forget where the gas pedal is

People who don't know how to use a roundabout/traffic circle.

Totally agree with you WallaceGal on the people getting on the highway. The ramps are designed (most of them) to get up to speed. Same with exiting.

Have you thought about trying to SoundHound or Shazaming it while it's playing, if you have that ability?

So it is. My bad. I was going by this article:

http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0122/126691-wedgwood/

It looks, though, that the new facility is not the behemoth the company once was. You'll have to let us know how it is.

I absolutely LOVE that the BBC and other UK stations do so many period dramas. You just don't see that type of program being made here in the U.S.

If you're interested in keeping up with what's happening in Ireland, then check out the Journal.ie. I've been reading the articles for the past several months and it's a free way of keeping up on the news. They also post a fair amount of "fun" articles to keep things interesting.

You can find it here: http://www.thejournal.ie/

That sounds like a grand itinerary. You might want to look further into the Waterford factory, though. I was there last month hoping to see it, and it's been torn down. My sat nav took me right to it, but it's just a cement slab now. It was very disappointing. It closed in 2009.

I recently heard a great rendition of Belfast Child by Simple Minds. I would love to see that song available here on CR.

That's a grand article. Thanks for posting it. I was hoping my American accent would be a novelty over there. smile.gif My daughter can do a British and Irish accent pretty good, and she's 14. We watch a LOT of British TV.

Memory serves you very well. I was indeed working on that. It took an entire year to process but I do now have Irish citizenship AND an Irish passport. Makes being able to work in Ireland (or anywhere in the EU for that matter) all that much easier.

It's been quite some time since I've visited CelticRadio.net, but I've been in the mood to listen to Celtic music lately, so I tuned in today. I've just signed up for a premium account to help support this great site.

Part of my desire to listen to the music comes from the fact that I'm currently trying to get a job in Ireland. At the beginning of December, I lost my job for the second time in 2013. For years I've wanted to move to Ireland or somewhere in the UK. I figured now might be the time to do that. I've had a few interviews via phone or Skype, and I have one promising lead for a job in Dublin right now. I can tell you that the Irish seem to be in no hurry when it come to hiring for positions, as I've been working on this one job for almost two months now.

Anyway, I live in Wake Forest NC. As as the title says, I've been a member for quite some time, but have not been active in quite some time as well. It's good to see some of the old familiar "faces" still around. I may not be that active on the forums, but I'll certainly be listening.

Thanks Paul for still providing this great service!

Brian

QUOTE (CelticRadio @ 17-Mar-2009, 03:54 PM)
Ok, Avonlea my old friend, the CD is yours. I am glad you won it, you shall get many hours of listening please with this one!

I was going to be more polite and not just say "me", but it seems I may have lost my chance if I typed too many words. Thank you Paul!
