First couple seconds sounded tempting but rest of Off Kilter was pretty bland.

QUOTE (Annabelle @ 05-Jan-2008, 09:40 PM)
I can't seem to get into Chat area on the site. Seems to be a computer problem with Java and Active X control on this end....thanks for the suggestion.

Note that you can use any IRC client software to connect as well, avoiding Active X and Java altogether. For example if you have Firefox, you can get the add-on called Chatzilla and use it to connect to the Celticradio.net IRC service.

Better luck next time ;-)

I immediately thought of this forum when I wondered who I could share this blog post with smile.gif

Strangemaps blog

All I can say is that when the piper gets a cold, I'd rather be in Dornoch Firth than Moray (sniff sniff) - hah.

I went to the celticradio.net/radio_tv listing and when I select a Celtic Woman video to play it says "This video is no longer available". For example: http://www.celticradio.net/radio_tv/video.php?id=32

Hopefully you knew this already wink.gif

Best wishes

I saw an add for http://www.halifaxcelticfeis.com/ on the banner of the website but the banner image user posted image had a logo for the 2005 event smile.gif

I went to the site itself too and saw no news of a 2007 event, just an apology for cancelling 2006.

Anyway, thought you might like to know.

Keep it up!

I was always interested in smithing in general and making my own armour - just to learn something. Seemed chain mail was simple enough if you had time to spare, eh? Have you done anything like that?

I'm also very interested in swords and always enjoy a good fight. Would love to make one - maybe I need to take a year off to do it? wink.gif

I watched A Good Year (starring Russel Crowe) and found it enjoyable. Nice visual aesthetic - showing cold colours in urban London financial scene contrasted with the warm and sunning rural France. It was a great story line that leaves you happy - not some of those modern movies that some say are "feel good" but leave you in "feel like crap" mode smile.gif

Great - thanks - glad to help.

By the way, if you ever get shutdown in USA - you are officially invited to migrate north of the border and set up in Canuckland.

Good day eh...

I just upgrade, or at least paid but my profile still says standard. How long until it takes effect?

Hi all,
I was looking forward to trying Live Chat - but it is currently crashing my web browser (Firefox and Safari). But because it's a Java app I assume it's my Java install that is to blame - it's the basic one that comes with Mac OSX - so I suspect this will affect everyone on Mac.
Is it working for Windows users? Perhaps there is an updated version of the app that might fix this.

I've been enjoying the Bards for 2-3 years at least. Even downloaded an album as a gift for my wife. I must say that it was encouraging and fun to get into the groove with you guys through your music. It's inspired me in my enjoyment of all things celtic and my Scottish heritage. I even bought a recorder to play along. Gotta get an autoharp too - oh yeah - and a friend to play with smile.gif

I've been involved in fencing (olympic style) over the past 5 years and after reading about some of the Renaissance Faires that you've performed at really got me thinking. So I bought a book "Swashbuckling: the art of stage combat" and am eager to find a friend willing to put together a troop. We'd perform not just at Faires but for hire at special occassion that need a good disruptin' with a spontaneous melee in the crowd.

Anyway, thanks guy for the inspiration. Still waiting for a cover of Queen of Argyle!
