I have a message to forward from my room mate. She says, "You Rock!"
I got the CD in the mail on Monday and I let her have the honors of listening to it first. hehehe Seems she has it stashed in her CD player for her sleepy time music.
Thanks again for having such a cool contest. Looking forward to seeing what May has in store. |

As I was writing that last message, my room mate called to me from the front room, telling me that he had passed on.
A neighbor had come home early and gave me transportation to the SPCA here in Houston, which took care of the remains for free.
I think the hardest part now, is waiting until his brother, Rex, figures out that his brother isn't going to be around anymore. They grew up together and had separation anxiety.
Hopefully Bear will find his way to Paradise and will be able to chase cute fluffy things for all time. |

Bear is 12 years old, he was born on Halloween believe it or not. Lately, he has become listless and very tired. As if the moment he moves, he runs out of energy.
His brother of the same litter is still active and all that, yet he is slowing down as well, but not as badly as Bear.
What I need is a prayer, a... something.. to let my dog know it's okay to pass on. I've asked Anubis to help his soul move to Paradise once it goes into his care, but Bear is still with me. How do I let him know it's okay to go?
Then there's the other problem, Rex.. the brother.. and Bear have been inseperable. If they're out of eyesight of each other, but can hear any amount of distress, the o ther one will go nuts. I'm afraid that if Bear passes on, Rex will soon follow of a broken heart.. or the equivalant.
If there's anyone out there who can offer advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm having enough of a complex right now knowing that the SPCA is on the other side of the city and I can't take my boy in if he shows signs of suffering too much.
Thanks for taking the time to read this at least. |

HAH! I knew I was forgetting one!
High Spirits Liam Neeson played a ghost in that one...
Remember: "Tonight's Bahoogey Night!!"
LOL.. that's the first time I'd ever seen Liam Neeson. That whole movie was hilarious! |

Now wait and see what happens. I'm betting the threat level will go up now that Al Qaeda is without a leader. You know SOME of those fanatics are going to want revenge and will probably stop at nothing to get it.
I have a feeling there will be upped security everywhere for a few months. But we have one thorn out of our side, now it's a wait and see game. |

My ex used to fly ultralights... so that and Raggle Taggle Gypsy had me sold.

Hey... scattered thoughts are fun... if used in a good way.. *ahem*
Actually, my books are Adventure Romances for the most part. I can't stand doing JUST romance... it's.. well Boring. To me at least. It's got to have at least Some action.. No not THAT sort of action...
*aww why not?* Well, because it will have a small amount, but not what you're imagining. *Darn, and here I was hoping...* Will you shut up? they'll think I'm talking to myself. *Well, technically, you are..* Go away before I hurt myself. *make me*
And now, back to your regularly scheduled insanity. |

Ecclectic Solitary on this end. I study a lot of things because I like to Learn. I've even studied Zen Buddhism because I enjoy the meditation and serenity it has. Unfortunately, I can't sit still long enough for that to have a full effect *chuckling*.
I find myself most comfortable when I'm able to move around amongst the many paths before me. I was never any good with 'Just One' direction.... |

Actually, for me, Bast and Anubis have entered my life.
While not the most devout of practictioners, I do have a small place set aside in my room for a cat statue, incense burner, and a few other goodies.
She seems to pop into my life in many facets, and however She chooses.
I have also had The Horned God... Lord of the Forest pop in on me on occasion..whether he be called Cerenunnos or Herne the Hunter... or simply The Green Man. Since I do love walks in the green wood, I tend to get Forest Dieties hanging out around me.
But Bast...as is Her Nature... has entwined herself around my heart and is there to stay, no matter if she's Celtic, Egyptian, or whatever. Just give her catnip and keep her in my thoughts and she's a happy kitty.
For the record, No, I don't have any cats, though...2 dogs... which is where Anubis has snuck in.. and he's always the one piloting the boat down the river. go figure. |

QUOTE (hielandman @ 26-Apr-2011, 02:27 PM) | To Diane T,
my children were raised with Darby O'Gill, it was great fun, and, I think, Sean Connery's first major role! We tormented the kids with the "Banshee"! |
I almost added the Gnomemobile, but I didn't think that was a Celtic Themed movie... hehe but it was a fun one, though.
I wish they'd make more Celtic themed movies... I want an adventure to last a lifetime. |

QUOTE (heartsong @ 26-Apr-2011, 07:19 AM) | Welcome Diane, Celtic Thunder seems to be drawing a lot of people to the station. |
Well, you have to admit, they are one of the more famous groups of the 21st Century. My ex used to listen to The Chieftains. Me? I'm usually the one who sneaks around Youtube looking for either Romantic songs or something that would get my adrenaline going... you know.. the Wake Up music? Ah the fun, the adventure, the stumbling into the walls trying to find the doorway to the kitchen and the Elixir of Life... Coffee. |

The first movie I ever saw with Elizabeth Taylor in it was Ivanhoe... she played Rebecca and Robert Taylor was Ivanhoe.
It was a 1952 movie, but my mom and I loved to watch them.
I think my most memorable Elizabeth Taylor moment was a commercial... the guys are playing poker and one guy doesn't have enough. She comes in and lays a pair of earrings down and says, "Here, these have always brought me luck."
Yeah, it was a black diamond commercial. but it was cool. |

*grinning impishly*
Right now I'm doing research for a November novel dealing with not only Robin Hood, but The Major Oak in Sherwood. Actually the story I'm writing is going to revolve around the Tree and The Green Man.. aka Herne the Hunter.
And, *ducking head to hide the blush*, My leading character is going to look a lot like Richard Armitage.. with a few modifications so I don't truly get my hands slapped. hehehe
Yeah, I've got a... well.. not truly demented.. but still, I'm a romance writer, what do you expect? *whistles innocently* |

Just got here today myself and found this section just a few moments ago. Wow...Umm.. Lemme introduce myself:
Lady Qara Unegen, former Captain of the Dreiburgen Baronial Guard, Caid.. currently non-active in the Kingdom of Ansteorra due to financial reasons.
Archer, Poet, and founding member of St. Bavon's company of Falconers
Okay, enough of my overblown introduction. How is everyone tonight? Hopefully the weather is behaving where you are and things are going well.

I just now found this place via Live365 and a feedback note from the Admins for Celtic Radio. *Thanks guys for the link*
I finally found a place that I can listen to Celtic music! Here in Houston, trying to find a decent radio station that doesn't play hard rock, rap or *ugh* Country music is next to impossible!
After watching Celtic Thunder videos on Youtube, I remembered Live365 and thought I'd take a peek and... wheeeeee.... good Celtic Music!
I write E-book paranormal romances for a living and I've been really tying to find music that fits my mood while I'm writing. And I found it finally.
Hope to get into lots of mischief and discussions while I'm online.
Fair Winds, Diane Taylor |
