I’m not certain I could possibly say much more about this incredible band that hasn’t already been said by many; when asked; “what happens when you take Celtic, Spanish and Italian and mix it all up; you get the true nature of the Black Irish” ~ and boy, do you ever in this wonderful CD.

When you have a band together for as long as they’ve been together; “twenty-two years” ~ that alone is a LOT of passion and commitment to what they love to do best, make MUSIC!...and they have a lot of fun doing it!

Every single band member is talented beyond belief; from the beginning note to the last, a huge smile did not leave my face; not to mention the foot stomping to every perfect tune; mostly traditional Irish songs; with the exception of one written by Patrick.. This CD is definitely one that’ll hold a firm place in your music library; I know it will in mine.

I loved each and every track; they were all played and sang to perfection; however, I do have a favorite; “The Wreck of The Pomona” ~ written and sang by Patrick Michael Karnahan. From its brilliant beginning, throughout the whole song, I was captivated by that tragic story that happened so long ago. Patrick shared with me that it was one of the first songs he wrote; he wrote it when he lived in Westport, Ireland, in the mid 1980’s; he had been hired to teach landscape painting to seniors; impressive and a man of many talents.

Do yourselves a huge favor; do whatever it takes to get your hands on this CD ~ you will not be sorry.
