OK -- this came in through the Electric Scotland newsletter for today. Just putting the link here for you to check it out -- I have not downloaded it or tried it, although if it's any good I might. Almost everyone here is more computer hip than I am, so you'll be able to figure out whether it's useful faster than I will and then comment. (If you look below on the page when you open the link, you'll find that some have taken exception to the way the "dying language" problem has been characterized in the main text of the site. Eh well . . . )

Very, very cool idea. I'm wondering if the people I know could convince them to get a Mingo (related closely to Seneca) version up and running. At the moment, I don't have enough call in my own life to need to have that kind of interface...back when I was pretty fluent in French, and if it could've been available then, yes. Frankly, I think it'd be a great tool for anyone seriously trying to keep an immersion into the language...you're hard-pressed to find it at all, especially in the States.

That totally rules I just looked through localizations on Ooo 1.0, which I've been using. Interestingly enough it has some 5 different listings for English, including one listed as: English(Eire). . . No Gaelic in there though. Although If I read the Gaelic on that site correctly, the package needs OOo 1.1.1?
