Posted by: Macfive 25-Apr-2006, 07:43 PM
Well, we havn't even sent out Barleyjuice award for their Song of the Year 2005 - What's Up Yours - let alone designed it, but it will be created soon and posted somewhere on here.

What I am writing about is to tell you that we are now accepting nominations for the 2006 Celtic Radio Song of the Year!!!!

We have a special page now designed and available thats shows all of the Song of the Years and a link to our nomination contact form. In addition, the song title of all "Song of the Year" awards will link directly to the Celtic Radio Press Release about their award.

http://www.celticradio.net/award/

Nominations received will not receive a response, but will be compiled for review in October of 2006.

Paul, I clicked on the link and got a CR Error page that said:

The URL was not found on this server or you are trying to access a page or feature in a manner which is not allowed. If you think this is a server error then please contact us.

Tried it again and got the same thing.

We have alot of stuff going on right now, but we have to start to get nominations for the 2006 Celtic Radio SONG OF THE YEAR!!!!!

The song you nominate does not have to been released in 2006. It can be in any category and can even be an older released song that is new to Celtic Radio.

And we are going to try and make this award a little more interesting with an official plaque given to both the 2006 and our previous 2005 winner. This all depends on how much money we can raise during our annual January/February fundraiser.

So, please start the nominations here or send us an email!!! But please start nominating before the deadline closes!

I'm sorry Dogshirt...I couldn't help myself...I just HAD to nominate a squishy tune...granted it was Gaelic Storm so it's not all bad smile.gif

Hello Celtic Radio Members!!!

We need more nominations! Please! The time is nearing and we only have a handful of nominations.

To sweeten the pot and encourage nominations we are going to hold a CD contest for everyone that nominates a song (see instructions above). Either a post in this forum, an email or our contact form.

Thank you members!

wink.gif Well, I know this will have more than a few scratching their heads wondering where I've been all these years but one song I really like listening to is "Sonny's Dream" by Great Big Sea in Canada and a number of Irish singers as well.

I dunno, maybe it's a catchy tune or something? walkman.gif

I also like Mari Mac by Great Big Sea!!! But of course my first choice is Unite The Clans by Clann An Drumma wink.gif
