Well, today we're supposed to get a high of 60, but I don't know if it'll make it. We're about to get a 30 degree drop tonight though. Tomorrow's high is only supposed to make it to 30... we'll all be sick in the state of Alabama!

It has been brutal this winter up there. Wonder what's going on with the weather patterns this year? You guys need a big fireplace to build a roaring one in and just stay there for the duration. I do sympathize.

Well, we do have a fireplace, and we've had some good ones blazing in there. The problem is we can't fire it up until we finish the living room, and we haven't even done the drywall yet.
I guess it's all up to the Glenfiddich to keep the internal fires burnin.

Here in Rochester, NY, it's in the mid-teens (which is almost balmy compared to the sub-teen weather we've had for the last couple of weeks), better than a foot of snow on the ground, and waiting for the storm that's been in Ohio to move our way. Time for a warming dram of Talisker.

Getting my camping gear packed as I'm heading north for a long weekend of camping in less than two weeks. Got the tent, skiis and snowshoes ready to go. And the weather couldn't be any better!
Those of you directly east of Chicago, I got bad news for you: there's more coming your way. We're expecting another 2-4 inches, on top of the 2 inches we got last night...

The problem is that you're on the wrong side of the state! It's a pleasant 16° F here with a lovely wind and nice, dry snow flakes. It looks like there's about an inch of accumulation on the ground. It snowed all day at various intensities but only started sticking around 4 or so.

Sunday it started here in the south. We got a good dusting of snow then the sleet hit. Total of 4 inces by monday. Then later on in the day the freezing rain started on top od the layers od snow and sleet. It didnt get above 22 yeasterday and not above 28 today. No warming temperatures till later on tonight. But we may have more come back in on Friday. Jayne
Since Sunday I have been surrounded by about 3 inches of ice. (Right outside Louisville, KY) Cincinatti got the snow, we got the ice. Go figure. I could not get out of my parking lot yesterday, so I nissed work.
What makes it bad is it got warm here yesterday, a lot of the ice melted and drained to where my car was located, and froze all around it. I had to claw my way out this morning.

Sorry about all the ice, Mary. We're only about an hour and a half away from each other and got lots of snow. But, yesterday it got warm here too! Up to like 35-40degrees! Which caused things to begin to melt quickly. Not to mention the amount of fog that was produced because of the evaporation. It was a reall ywindy and eerie night. Today it is snowing a bit, but I can see some blue skys to the west! So, Mary it looks like it is getting better your way...
