What are your plans for Christmas this year? Our's will be a quiet one this year as we are in a transition for work and all of our festive items are packed away in storage. However, in the words (para) of Charles Dickens in "A Christmas Carol", we have learned to keep Christmas in our hearts each and everyday of the year.

"Cuimhnich air na daoine o'n d'thaining thu" Remember the men from whom you are descended.
My girls are grown, one married, the other has a SO so I do Christmas eve dinner for everyone including my in-laws. We open things then so on Christmas morning, it's just my husband and me, a quiet breakfast and hot coffee. It's nice!
We attended our town's Christmas variety show tonight to see our granddaughter on stage. The performances we pretty good with two Celtic songs thrown in. It went well until one of the performers accidentally fell of the stage into the orchestra pit. Twisted her ankle and had to be hauled off to the hospital. The show was temporally stopped until everything was settled and she got a round of applause as they were taking her out. Ah the joys and sorrows of a live performance. So here's to waiting to see what the rest of the season has in store

Unavoidably Detained by the World
"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien
My kids are at the fun ages between 4 and 11 so it'll be busy and chaotic. I'm just hoping the Mrs. and I can slow down enough over the next few days to really emphasize what the true meaning of Christmas is all about to my young ones.
Luke 2, 8-14
I wish everyone here at Celtic Radio a very Merry Christmas with friends and family!

"May those who love us, love us. And those who hate us, may God turn their hearts. And if he doesn't turn their hearts, may he turn their ankles so we'll know them by their limping." -Celtic Proverbs
Grateful am I to have a sword in which to defend myself at all times, blessed am I for the days I need not use it.
Christmas Day will be fairly quiet then a family get together and white elephant gift exchange at night. I'm making a "safe" book that will contain a flask of Highland Honey. I'm sure it will be a hit with my family.

After a very hetic day things have finally quieted down here. Kids are all out of the house, wife has gone to work, and it's just me, the dogs, and the internet. Enjoying some music before I leave for Midnight Mass at our church

We have the joy of our oldest son and his wife visiting with us for probably the last Christmas for a long time. They will be leaving next year for a closed country to do mission work.
Our youngest son and his wife and three boys are also with us. It will be fun, fun, and more fun! Our two youngest daughters are still at home and with us.
Sometime tomorrow, I will take some private time with the Lord to thank Him for the greatest Christmas gift of all . . . the gift of Himself.
Merry Christmas everyone!! Lord bless!

Seems I'm a tad late, but Christmas eve is with my family and the kids , a big meal and then chaos as the kids tear through everything, its fun to watch. And Christmas day my wife's clan moves in and it is the same all over.I do though go to the my Masons Lodge for our Christmas Day observance at High 12. Thankfully it only comes once a year
