I was wondering if anyone could help me translate this proverb to Irish Gaelic. Thanks in advance.

"If you have to crawl to live, stand and die."

Thus far this is what I have, but not sure about the accuracy.

Mura mór duit a snámhail chun beith i do bheatha, seas thú agus faigh bás.

or

Má chaith tú snámháil chun mhaireactáil, seas an fód agus faigh bás.
