I've just discovered this radio and its site... really wonderful!! I maybe should introduce myself first: I'm a 19 years old french boy, who loves celtic culture. I live north of Paris, in a city called Beauvais.
I enjoy listening to Breton artists like Dan Ar Braz, Alan Stivell, Denez Prigent, Tri Yann... I'd like to know Great Britain's celtic music better!!
Next year I have to make a training period in an english speaking country, and I'm thinking about going to Scotland or Ireland...
Glad to listen to this so fantastic radio (it's Scottish Rogues "red head" on)... I'm dancing alone!!!!

Welcome to CelticRadio! I am Allen, and I Moderate the Brittany forum! If you get a chance, stop in and look around! The music here is indeed wonderful, and the people are some of the nicest you are likely to meet anywhere on the net! So jump on in and help us to get to know you, by posting, as you get to know us. By the way, I love Alan Stivell's music too!
Welcome to the family, my friend!

The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is, that it is robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its collision with error. ~John Stuart Mill, On Liberty, 1859
Education: that which reveals to the wise, and conceals from the stupid, the vast limits of their knowledge. ~Mark Twain
Welcome Hop Frog, As the others have told you already, this is a great place full of friendly people, great conversation, and wonderful music. So sit back and enjoy the House of Mac, post often, and have fun
Welcome Hop Frog! You've found a great site! As for your training year, I'd suggest Scotland. I've visited twice and found the people wonderfully welcoming and helpful. I've never actually visited Ireland, so I can't help you there.
Have you ever listened to any of the music from the maritime provinces in Canada. Wonderful stuff there, too! I suspect that you'd find some of it very familiar in style.
