I have been watching the Google ad boxes while in the Grove to see what sort of stuff comes up..... What is a "New or Used Wiccan" for sale? Is slavery back??? Supplies for all "your magical needs"... some really strange stuff on some of those sites.... Now when in Kirk and Chapel I see.... "Bibles by the case" ...even offers free shipping! These ads are beginning to look like the charlitans that were in the Hebrew temple that Jesu cast out.... I just find some of this stuff funny!!!!! |

NO not at work...snowed in and have a bad sinus infection... Not bored, just dislike Google and the cookies they put on my machine! I was just interested in the relationship the ads have with the topic viewed, must be the webmaster in me LOL! |

So, I'd better reply to multiple posts at once since I have only a little time today. Pagan here, but not wiccan. Sorry if that disappoints. I am a liberal pagan, meaning I do not discriimnate based on pagan-type LOL. I am in a pagan online group that includes all kinds of pagans- Santerian priestesses, Sabians, Wiccans, and "Non-denominational Pagans". I myself lean towards the old Celtic Gods, while my sweetie is more attuned to the Germanic and/or Slavic deitites, and we get along just fine LOL. Still others I have known are into angels and see Christianity and Paganism as being very "enmeshable". Interestingly enough, when Abraham went into the desert and came out with the "One true God of Israel" He brought the High God from the Chaldeans and it became the Jewish God and the Christian God. So christians come from a very pagan religion, even the regalia of the catholic church is "stolen" from the middle eastern pagans. It is interesting to note that Jesus follows similar paths as other resurrected sun/good/light deities like Tammuz/Damuzi, Bel, and Ba'al. I think even Horus and Osiris kind of fit the profile. Baldur (sp.?) certainly does too- you know the one killed by the sprig of Holly? The "son of God" died and resurrected... doesn't sound like any other religious myth to anyone else, does it? Peace and Power PS, my ad said "Train to be a witch" |
