I thought since this was the Politics Forum. And Everybody has Praise for or Complaint about Politics. Then we should at least know if you even bothered to take the time to Vote.

I try my best to go Vote every time it comes up. I feel if I don't Vote then I feel I don't have the Right to complain over any political events that may occur that I disagree with.
After the last election fiasco vowed mnever to waste my time voting when it's a joke anyways. It all comes down to who can lie the best or sling the most mud and dirt. It's not about honesty anymore.

Now get the system fixed and I would.
Scottish2,
I though you was the one who was tired of seeing Taxes and more Taxes. The Only reason I went to Vote today was to "JUST SAY NO" to Taxes.
Well we're handling taxes in the court system. Seems congress is determinded to ignore the 1st amendmentpetition ever member has received so now the tax group I am in is suing the US Government
I didn't vote today, and I won't vote today. That's 'cause our elections were last month. Oh yes, I did vote then and my neighbors and I defeated every single tax bill that was presented.

In my case locally not worried about new taxes. Seems our community is tired of taxes and shoot down every tax that is brought up for election overwhelmingly so.
I worked in Canadian Parliament for 13 years and that cured me of my desire to vote. Politicians only care about what you think when you put your check mark on the ballot. In the words of a current Canadian MP after her governing party broke their main campaign promise, "We (MPs) should not be held accountable for things that we say during the campaign". I have been in the chamber during votes where I have seen Members of Parliament voting against their own wishes and their constituents wishes with tears flowing from their eyes, just because they had to tow the party line or be ejected from party ranks.

I didn't go. I didn't see any signs, nothing on the TV. I don't think any issues were voted on in Missouri at all. I didn't see anyone wearing the "I voted stickers." I don't think Missouri voted on anything. Or at least my county.
And votes do count. A few thousand would have swung the Bush-Gore election. or perhaps the Dewey-Truman election if I remember right.

My case I didn't vote for Bush or Gore so...And why should we have to settle with one candidate over another? Most candidates I can't stand anyways because there is no accountablility for when they break their campaign promises.
And they will just give the winner time and his/her promises are out the window.
