Celtic Radio Community > Kirk and Chapel > Prayers Really Needed

I have a very serious prayer request. My Dad was in Denver on business and contracted an extremely aggressive strep infection. It is the same kind that Jim Henson from the muppets had years ago. The Dr.'s here are doing a fabulous job but the infection is so bad that it dosen't seem to be responding well to medications. I really need everyone to pray for him and my family during this time.
Thanks for your prayers!

Hey, Barb, you can count on us. Your dad is a delight. I always enjoy visiting with him at the store. Saw him just a few weeks ago when I was in Albuquerque.

Keep us posted. I know of some brothers up there who could possibly visit your dad and personally have prayer with him if you feel that would be a help. Just let me know.

Praying for him and you!

Mark

Today we got a little good news. The bactria dosen't seem to be spreading and the infections may be getting under control. He's still not out of the woods, but it's a baby step. I really think the prayers help.
Thanks,

I'm very sad to report that my Dad didn't make it. He passed away on Friday afternoon. Thank you all do much for your prayers, I'm sure that is what kept him with us as long as he could. I think his body realized that the infection was too much for it to fight and it gave up.
Once again thanks and I feel so blessed to know that you are all here in our time of sadness and grief.

I really feel for you. My Dad died 20 years ago suddenly of a heart attack. My prayers go out to you.

Barb, I'm so sorry for your loss...I just don't find any words which could comfort you or which sound right right now...my thoughts are with you and your family.
Would you simply accept a hug instead of any words? hug.gif
