This information is inaccurate. I have a pay slip from William the conquer army from a solider from Normandy France date from 1065 the year before invasion on england .than trace back to italy . I can document back to first use in mid 600 A.D. .i have a over 5000 hours of research in the just borton family .Burton is a mispeeling of the family name .the orignal family name is Bourtone . It been misspelled over the years becuase most could not read and right so the relied on other to spell by sounding out.
