I got some of the things I wanted, including two books that made my conservative brother-in-law cringe: Lies & The Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair And Balanced Look At The Right by Al Franken and Dude, Where's My Country? by Michael Moore.

While I didn't get "Stupid White Men" for Christmas, I did read it recently in my History class this semester. I should have read Lying Liars...

What did I get for the psuedo-christian market driven holiday we call Christmas in America? My father sent me twenty used books from his hippie days. I swear, he did. He called it a "personal" gift. I call it "cleaning out your closet."

LoL, seriously, I love books...I don't really care where they come from.

I hope for those that need this holiday that it was an especially good one.

I got jewelry this year. I also got a dartboard, a collectors edition of The Hobbit, and another book of some stories of Middle Earth. I have forgotten what it was called.

Half my RAM? That's 512 MB's of RAM biggrin.gif

Got a gig of RAM in this new system a long with a 128 MB vid card and the premium sound card plus getting high speed net as soon as I get it set up. Phone companies just checking the unit to make sure we can get it here but shouldn't be a problem. Then I will be flying around the net. biggrin.gif tongue.gif

You lucky bugger. I got the movies but need to get the series. Especially a few that are my favorites like "Homeland" where he returnes to Scotland and also "The Samurai" Where MacLeod gets his Samurai Sword. My 2 favorite episodes and while a sad episode I also like "The Darkness" this is the one that Tessa Dies and Richie becomes imortal but I love Dust in the wond and they use this song at the end and they go through scenes of MaLeod and Tessa's life together. Sad episode but love the ending song so...
