It is interesting that this happened after the Secret Service was taken over by Homeland Security and then faced budget cuts. It appears to have been a publicity stunt but I believe it was CNN that explained how this could have been a successful attack on the elected heads of our govt. D@mn ignorant of them. That, in my opinion, was a stupid thing to do. The good that hopefully will come out of this may be that it will not likely happen again.

Is it just me or is the press's concentration on the female half of this couple an indication of more political correctness. I understand that the husband is a Palestinian Arab and he apparently penetrated White Security with out much effort. Couldn't a sleeper Jihadist Terrorist have done the same thing? Can you say Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan?

The couple says they had an invitation to the party at the White House. The White House says they didn't. Who do you believe?

With the administration's history I would believe the couple. I saw on the news this AM that the old white house director who took care of invitations was fired last summer and her replacement Shanique (?) was in charge at this affair. Apparently they were not checking names with the invitation list. It makes one wonder how many more may have slipped in.

They come across with a great deal of credibility. I suspect someone else will shoulder the blame for this. Since they are "squeezing" the Secret Service financially it may be them. To me this is not a good move as the SS officers are the ones who are expected to put their lives on the line for the president. If they are kicked long enough and hard enough, in a crisis, they may step out of harms way.

A major constitutional question that requires a claim of "Executive Privilege"? rolleyes.gif

Can you say "CYA"? Chicago style politicians protecting their own?

Should Ms. Rogers start watching her back (one Chicago Style political tradition is that people who screw up end up dead or missing)?

The Calumet river used to be a good dumping ground as the chemicals dumped in it would devour bodies. Since it has been cleaned up I suspect a scenic boat ride on lake Michigan is the preferred method.

My guess though is that she will survive, maybe even thrive.
