Oh I so love NM! I really would love to live there. Not Albuquerque, but northern NM somewhere. Well I just love the entire state...period! I would love to live in an old adobe New Mexican house out where I can look at all the beautiful views there. Maybe we will retire there, but I doubt it as family are here in AZ and as you get older, you tend to stay closer to family. Although NM is not that far away!
Really Cool Haynes What did you think about Clovis??? It is OK here, just a small town, I fell in love with the NM Sky here, Just seems to stretch out forever!!!
CelticRose, There are some really beautiful places here though more towards up north as well (I have to agree with you) but not where I really wish to hang my hat, I have lived here for 10 years now... My heart although is in Alaska, LOL, No I have never even visited AK, though for some reason I feel the love for Alaska deep in my heart/soul!!! I have loved it since I was a child & really strange that I have yet to visit!!! hmmmmm May need to change that!!! It is something I have to do at least once before I die, Though I am fearful that the only time I may be where I love, is when I die, since my burial choice is Alaska... I just dont want that to be the only time I get to enjoy it there!!! LOL

I like Clovis! My family and I have stayed there quite a few times while on the road. It is one of those "going through" towns for us. I sure hope they are able to keep the Air Force base there! The town really needs it!

Hello! I have to share this. On our trip to NM, we went to Chama, NM. When we first arrived I thought what a hole from the center of the earth! And too small and nothing to do! I hated it! After staying there for two days...because we were taking the Chama/Toltec train...I greatly and fastidiously changed my mind and attitude! I could not believe it! I now love this town and want to live there! go figure, eh? When hubby retires perhaps we will, but I so love NM all the more and surprisingly the town of Chama. Not much to do there unless you greatly love trains though...which we do!
Gotta look up Clovis and see whereabouts that is. Talk to you soon!
HELLO, Haynes & Celtic Rose!!!!!!! Wow Haynes, I never imagined that I would be here still, 10 years, whewww!!! But you know it is not all that bad really!!! If ever coming this way maybe send me a hey you guess whos stoppin in...note...LOL & Cannon CAFB is saved!!! We have a new mission, we are so happy, it will be along time now for CAFB to even be thought of as on the chopping block again!!! YEAH!!!!
CelticRose, Chama is really pretty quaint town!!! My ex's family owns land close to there!!! We use to do all of our grocery shopping in Chama when we stay(ed) in the cabin!!! I really like how peacful it is there!!! The trails are great!!! & yes, gotta love the Trains!!! Well Sorry, have not logged on in a bit, but life sometimes changes priorities for you!!! Well, have a wonderful rest of your week!!! Marie
Hello Marie! I do hope to return to Chama one day. I want to live close to where I can hear those train go by and blow their whistles. Yeah, I know that sounds strange, but I grew up around train tracks and used to it and still love the sound of it all. will give you a holler if we ever do make that way up there again.
We really want to make a trip up to Alaska as well. That is one of our dream trips too. I have never been there, but I have dreams about it all the time...wierd, eh? I do the same with the state of Washington! Go figure!
Take care and don't be a stranger!
