May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
This should be interesting though. It's leftover meat from the previous two times I made them and I used two different brands of taco seasoning. Not sure how this is gonna turn out .
Tonight it was fish and chips, yes, I know, too much fat and quite unhealthy - but ooooooooh so yummy! How boring would life be without a wee sin now and then, no?

"Now here's my secret", said the fox, "it is very simple. It is only with ones heart that one can see clearly. What is essential is invisible to the eye."
("The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
"The soul would have no rainbow, if the eye had no tears." (Native American Proverb)
Gaberlunzie, I had something about as unhealthy as your dinner last night. I had fried chicken. I had a coupon for a local chain. $2.99 for two pieces (drumstick & thigh, naturally), a biscuit and a side of mashed potatoes. This local chain, Brown's, has mashed potatoes that are more edible than KFC's.
Well, to make up for my "sin" it will be a big bowl of salad tonight; I usually use lettuce, tomatos, curcumber, bell peppers, radish, omions, fresh herbs, a bit of cheese and ham or stripes of grilled chicken breast - whatever I still have in my fridge. If I'm back home from work in time I might bake some fresh cornbread, too...
Ugh, heaven knows. Whatever the school cafeteria is featuring today, or probably something off the salad bar. Mondays are my long, long day -- from 8AM to 8PM, with a single one-hour break at 3:30.
Wish I could come visit and have that salad with gaberlunzie. I'll bring the wine!
Ditto on the frozen pizza. Cept mine was sausauge.

"Irishness is not primary a question of birth or blood or language; it is the condition on being involved in the Irish situation, and usually of being mauled by it."-Conor Cruise O'Brien
Last night: Grilled pork chop seasoned with a cinnamon-based rub (see "From My Kitchen To Your Table" for recipe), some applesauce from a jar with cinnamon sprinkled in and baby spinach with Italian dressing.
Tonight: Grilled cheeseburger on a toasted bun, some fries from McDonalds and can of RC Cola.
