My Dear Wombat they are called "Snowbirds" when the snow comes to the North they flock to the South. And the Southerners make money off them then when their money and their snows are gone they get sent home again!
Right now I am matching cotton bale totals with ginning totals to make sure our cotton growers and ginners are paid. The cotton ginning season is winding down here in the South. I am also listen to great Celtic music. No snow here.

Laughing at the post from that Cotton Picking Coastman! I needed a guid laugh, thanks Laddie. I had been siting fretting over some news from the Doctor.
We got about a 1/2 inch of snow before I went to bed. Sometime during the night the rain came down in sheets. We had scattered patches of snow this morning, but now it is all gone. The traffic was very light. My mom got snow in Blueridge but the rain came in during the night too. I heard we may get some more of this stuff this weekend. I hope not we have a social.
I know all about the Snowbirds. My dad just goes down there for a couple of days for the convention which he attends as a buyer. My former in-laws lived in Florida, though, and when they passed away we rented out their house during the Winter months, usually to Canadians.
Gwenlee, I'll have to keep an eye on the weather for this weekend, too. I didn't realize there was more on the way. I haven't heard from dd#1 so I guess she didn't get iced in up her way. If everything stays in a holding pattern you should see her on Friday.

I am posting like crazy in hopes of winning a T-shirt from the Station for the highest average of posts. I am not able to afford one so winning one is my best shot at promoting the station at the Local Celtic Heritage club.
I'm at the library right now, surfing the Internet.

May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you. May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you.
I have a piece of sagebrush clippings held up to my nose...as I have spring fever really bad...*inhale ahhhh* I love that smell. Anyhow having a cup or tea before I eat dinner, and reading up on the forum.
I'm chillin' out! I've been grandbaby sittin' all day yesterday, night and today. Now it's Me Time, I know that might sound a little selfish but I do need just a little time to just sit back and enjoy whatever...Rindy, my hubby has spring fever really bad. We had rain, ice and snow early this morning and the children got a day off from school. Spring is month after next so that's not to far away!!!
