I am filled with rage just thinking about how I'd react if it was my child. I have a feeling I'd be sitting in jail, and he'd be in the morgue.

| It's with an extrememly heavy heart that I tell you that ....Our 9 month old grandbaby, Becca is in the hospital fighting for her life. Our daughter entrusted a friend to take care of Becca for 30 mins while she went to the store. This man I use the term loosly smashed my grandbabies head into the wall and crushed her scull. He also broke both of her legs. He is in jail and is being charged. Becca and the rest of us could use any positive energy thoughts and prayers at this most trying time in our family. It makes it even more difficult being as far away from our daughter Yvonne during all of this cause we have no means to go back to the states to be with her. Nightwind, My thought and prayers are with you. I just returned from my Brothers funeral. I know this is hard for you but you, have to handle it and you must be strong. I have seen so many sad faces in the last two days I just cannot explain the grief that I have seen. It is hard when you are not living by each other also. | Becca will be in our prayers. The perp. would NOT be safe out of jail. He will not be happy in prison, considering how even hardened criminals consider someone who will hurt a child (Short Eyes, they are called). |

| Thank you all for the Prayer and well wishes.....our family really appreciates it. Becca is hanging on, she is at a 25% chance of survival. Every day that she can hang on her chances go up. I've been in a constant state of meditaion and prayer....I'm exasted, but I have to keep on. I have no time for anger I need to positive energy to flow to my family. My grandson Matthew (he's going to be 2 Feb.14) is going to be at the hosp. for a complete scan just to make certain that he was not abused as well. I will keep you all posted. BB & MP |

HEY!!!!!!!i got to hold her tonite for like an hour!!!!!!!!!!! shes doing better still needs oxygen and the drain for her brain but shes trying to roll over and kicking and trying to pull her IVs out i know that sounds bad but its good that shes moveing everthing ok thats showing that that part of her brain isnt damaged enough to effect her movement... anyways shes fighting and hope you all are still hopeing for us and she should start doing better!!@!!! love you guys love Yvonne  |

Oh I thought I had already updated on him.....sorry guess I didn't. Matthew had a complete scan and other tests.....he's just fine...nothing at all happened to him physically.Thank Goddess/Gods....She wasn't gone long at all, or who knows what all else would have happened. But I am very concerned about what he may have seen. Even tho he's only going to be 2 it will still scar him. |

| At least he is fine physically, yes I do think that emotionally this could affect him. I would hope that some kind of consoling would be available to him. I do still remember things from when I was I know for sure 3 but I think there are some things before that, just don't know age then, but know I was younger than the one I know I was three. |

| Becca Update........ Becca is out of ICU!!!! She is going to have surgery on Wed. the replace the piece of scull that they had to remove in her first surgery, they cant believe that she is going to be ready by Wed because they normally dont even chance doing it for at least 30 days. Even though we all come from diverse backgrounds and religions, we are all able to pull together during someone's time of need, and no one judges the others for not having the same beliefs! | MM, We received word that they are going to do Becca's surgery today after all. It will take place mid morning sometime Mountain Time. They are going to replace the peice of scull that was removed during the first surgery. Becca has a little bit of sight, not much...she is reaching for things that are put right in front of her face. Once all of this is said and done she will have several specialists that she will be seeing monthly. Nobody will know exactly what the extent of permanent damage until she's grown. | I have been following this thread, and just could not bring myself to post. I don't see how anything I say could be of much worth. It saddened me SO much to hear about it and elated me to hear of her recovery. I have three children, and one on the way, and could never understand how anyone could do harm like this to a child. I also don't understand the interest in this kind of abuse that we are seeing more and more of on TV shows (one reason I no longer watch TV). I sometimes feel like I am burying my head in the sand, but at the same time, when I read, hear or see storys about children who suffer, I feel like I am going to burst with grief, anger, sadness and most of all, helplessness. Nightwing, I pray and pray that your grandbaby recovers fully, and if there is anything we, your adopted family, can do, please don't hesitate to ask. ~Iago |

| Hello Family, First I want to thank all of you for all of the love, healing energy and prayers. Becca's surgery went alot longer than expected due to a hemorriage in a main sinus vein....they had to put her back in a drug induced coma so she doesnt do anything to dislodge the packing. If anything happens to it they will have to go back into emergency surgery. The Dr.s aren't sure how long they are going to have to keep her in the coma this time. | Becca... ( rush of tears ) This morning the main sinus vein was found to be dark and not giving blood to Beccas brain.. they just competed a ct scan of the veind and tts not good. that main vein is comepletely blocked of with clots....she only has 1 main vein pumping blood to her brain.... they have to put her on blood thinners to try to get it unblocked....if they cant shes going to die...if she bleeds out again they cant do another surgery or she wont make it off of the table...shes down to a 5% chance of surviving the next 48 hrs |

Hello Family  Thank You all so much for all of the Love, Tears, Candles, Energy and Prayers......Becca Update: All of this Loving Energy is working.....Not only did Becca make it through the 48hrs. she is now out of ICU.....she is tollerating the blood thinners and so far so good no bleed outs, they are going to be doing another MRI sometime this next week just to make sure everything is going well. She will be on the blood thinners for 3 months and then hopefully that will be the end of that therapy. She still has a ways to go and it's still unknown as to how much permanate damage there is going to be but right now she is doing far better than any of her drs even hoped for.....they have told Yvonne more than once that Becca shouldn't even be alive by rights. Yvonne of course knows how much healing energy and prayers are going out to, for Becca and wont give up on her and nor will any of the rest of us!
