Mozilla!

I had a direct migration from Netscape to Mozilla (from milestone 9, I think), it's been 5 years (from 2000)
except under some situation, I seldom use IE on windows

I just swichted yesterday from IE - to Mozilla Firefox. Works fine. Still have to work out a bit how I want it setup and stuff. But other than that I like it very much.

I'm glad to see so many switching to alternative browsers. I'm a long time Opera user and have it configured to suit the way I surf. It can be a bit much for new users so Firefox is probably a better choice for a first alternative browser. One of the things I like best about Opera is their small market share, hardly enough users to make it worth a hacker's effort. Opera users tend to be pretty computer savvy and their forum is a great resource. Opera 9 is in beta testing and it seems to incorporate several changes to make it more like Firefox. Couple that with it being free now (no more banner ads), it may end up gaining market share. I just hope it doesn't get too popular. All the alternative browsers are better than IE though. Although all browsers can have vulnerabilities, all the alternatives are much more responsive in fixing the problems than Microsoft. There are known vulnerabilities in IE that have been known for months and still have not been patched, that's simply unacceptable.

I am now a very happy customer of Mozilla Firefox. Dell computers fixed my pc and installed it for me via "remote." Really cool. I don't believe I will ever go back to IE.

I use Firefox both at work and at home. But since I use my work computer more it has the most updated extensions and passwords. So I installed FEBE on both computers. Then I did a backup, put the result of the backup on a flash drive, took it home, and did a restore to my home computer. Now my home computer has all my normal extensions, and has them updated correctly. I also have all my online passwords loaded and updated. And all this happens quickly and (so far) flawlessly.

Highly recommended.

What's more, I only know of ONE browser that violates the HTTP RFC. And only ONE browser on which you have to worry about temp files breaking your web viewing experience.

That one browser is: IE!

No other browser tries to cut corners (and thereby has to try twice to load most pages), and no other browser basically makes you go out of your way performing matinance just so you can browse the web.

I have used Mozilla - FireFox for years now and LOVE it. I downloaded it at work, too. Every once in a while, I have to open IE to view something that only works or works best in IE but that is the only time I use it, well, except to see how my sites look in it.
