Does anyone know of some good places to find Celtic fonts? I'd like to expand my font library a bit, and would love to include some Celtic fonts that I may not already have (I have 4 or 5 now). Thanks |

There's a book out that makes its rounds about the ren faires and highland games from Dover Press called "24 Celtic and Medieval Display Fonts". It's the book and a CD that has all the fonts in question. They're public source, so they can be used freely. |

Shamalama...when I try to extract the files, I'm told there are no files to extract. (?) And urian, I downloaded the Cry Uncial from 1001fonts. Thanks. Sekhmet..I'll look into that book. Thank you! |

That's strange. I just d/l'ed it from here and extracted the 7 .ttf files. I'm using WinZip 9.0 if that makes any difference. |

Strange. I tried it again, and I get a message that "The Compressed (zipped) file is invalid or corrupted". Guess I'm out of luck for now. I'll keep trying. |

I found http://fonts.lordkyl.net/fonts.php?category=10 page just now. It has several different Celtic fonts, if anyone is interested. |

What do you use all the fonts for Avonlea22? I can use them in scrapbooking. They are neat. |

Here is an Ogham font. Ogham was used in Celtic Erin and Ulster. Ogham inscriptions have also been found in parts of Scotland. |

Nothing in particular. I just like to have them, for when something might come up. I like the scrapbooking idea, though. |

I confess I'm a fontaholic. At one point before my hard drive crashed I had over 800 fonts I used in my digital art projects. I've found quite a few Celtic fonts at http://www.fontgarden.com. The downside is their not categorized so you have to browse page after page. The upside instead of using the same ole "brown fox line" the webmaster uses funny quotes. My favourite: Last night as I lay in bed looking at the stars I thought 'Where the hell is the ceiling?' |

Here is a Celtic Knot Font webpage. It is not letters, but makes knot patterns. I have the solid one on my system. It was a gift from my Mom. Here is the link to the http://www.clanbadge.com/knots.htm#styleswebpage. |
