Question......I'm new to the art world and don't know when my pencil drawings are finished...........how do you know?
That's the beauty of art, only the artist knows when their work is done. If you feel it is finished, it is.

Guess I'm just insecure about my work since I'm just starting. Maybe this weekend I'll take a pic and post so you all can help me. Believe me, I need all the help I can get. Thanks!!!!

I look forward to it. I keep meaning to add some of mine but I don't have a scanner and don't know of too many people who do have one. Maybe someday...
I don't have a scanner either, just the camera. Now, if I can get the picture and the camera in the same place at the same time I can go about posting it. I'd love to see your work, Em!! J
Janeymae! I would love to see your work! My problem is is that I don't know when to quit. I had an art teacher tell me that once too! I finally just get to the place where I am sick of the piece and quit!
Someone asked earlier what tribe the elder Indian lady is and to answer the question, she is Navaho. I photographed her in New Mexico. Thanks everybody!
Alright well this isn't quality. I had to use a friends' scanner, which didn't turn out very well. This is just a quick sketch I did awhile back. Any potential?
Hey Em! That is a wonderful drawing! Everything looks balanced and in proportion. You have a light source, especially in her hair and face, which is good. I think you did very well and would like to see more of your work!

I know how scanners can be.
Thank you, it means a lot especially coming from you; being very talented.
Is there any scanners types that I should look into? Or avoid?
Ooh! Scanners? Maybe you could ask or start a thread in the computer forum. I would like to know that myself. I think I have a pretty good one made by Acer, but scanners can't compare to digital photography.
NOLIKA! It's wonderful you! I am SO glad you have joined us here! This is a wonderful site that I have been a part of for a few years now. Have met many wonderful people here and where Rindy and I met and became good friends! I first heard CAD on this site through the Highlander radio! I hope you love it here as much as we do and will be an active part. I hope to see some of your work posted in here too! Welcome, friend!
