The last time that I was at the Cambridge Highland Games was ten years ago. I've always liked the games and the park is a great setting. I hope to find time in the near future to make it back down to them but not this year. Anyone in the area should get out to support these (and all) games and festivals. The Cambridge Highland Games was one that we almost lost. Fortunately, after a very brief hiatus, they resumed the Games and are now rebuilding.

I had heard that as well. They are certainly up against some stiff competition (no dance pun intended) seeing that the Canadian Championships are the same weekend for Highland Dance on the East Coast!

We intend to support Cambridge this year as we don't have any dancers yet at the level for the Championships (our highest is in Intermediate).

Slosh slosh! Boy was that a wet games! Lost my tent to wind and rain, venue lost electricity when the building was struck! Had a blast though! Nothing like the smell of wet kilts in the morning!

The pic I attached came from the Cambridge newspaper

Where are the Cambridge Games held these days? I haven't gone in a couple years, but I went to compete there with my pipe band for more than 20 years. It used to be at the Waterloo Regional Police Recreation Area.

Normal is a relative term. For some reason it is not a term my relatives use to describe me.
