Celtic Radio Community > Medieval Kingdom > Lord Englishmix Reveals His Warlike Nature...

Hear ye, hear ye!

The kingdom of Buchanan, which has marched against no other land is being marched upon by Lord Englishmix of Kilkerran of the clan Defending Armies of the Royal Kingdom.

Perhaps the clan should change its name to the Attacking Armies of the Royal Kingdom, though the acronym AARK is far less poetic, I will admit.

If the noble Lord Englishmix will change his current course of action, I will pretend as though this march on my lands was a mere troop exercise, and not an act of war. One must keep one's armies in shape, of course. If, however, Lord englishmix continues on and actually attacks the peaceful land of Buchanan...well, that will be a different matter, will it not?

Lord Taliesin, I agree that AARK has less of a ring to it and assure you my clan has no aggressive intentions toward you at this time. Lord englishmix is newer to our clan and his troops marching for their health was a learning curve. Please accept my apologies on his behalf. thumbs_up.gif

My Lord McRoach,

I thank you for your apologies on the behalf of Lord Englishmix.

I would like it to be known, however, that Clan Mac Na Galla never saw the troop exercises of Lord Englishmix as any more or less than a potential attack by one Lord and one Army. We did not see it as an offensive by Clan D.A.R.K., and if retaliation were necessary, we would have attacked no other land than Kilkerran.

We are not eager to make war with the powerful Clan D.A.R.K., and would have hoped that any retaliation on our behalf would have been seen as a necessary measure against one lord.

Thank you again for your apologies.

I applaud your gentlemanly behavior Lord Taliesin, it is an admirable quality indeed. Just be aware that gentlemanly behavior cannot always be counted upon here, keep your guard about you sir. This is by no means an aggressive statement to you and yours, tis but a heed of friendly advise from one with experience rest ye assured.

A wise band once said "to secure peace is to prepare for war". Merely because I am willing to let this march on Buchanan slide this time does not mean I am not continuing my preparations to defend my land.

Moreover, I did not see Lord Englishmix's march as an offensive by Clan D.A.R.K. because I received no word that any of D.A.R.K.'s other members were marching on me. Had I received word to that effect, my response might have been different, though I fully acknowledge the might of their great Clan.

I am willing to behave like a gentleman, but in terms of implicit trust, there are few who may truthfully say that they have it of me.

King Olorin, I thank you for your wise words of warning, and will most assuredly pass them on to my clan. One of my clansmen is newly a resident of Middle Earth, and he assures me the land there is lovely to behold. May your realm continue to prosper under your just rule.

Dear lords & ladies,

To say that I have an aggressive streak is no lie: whether in commerce or in conquest! But you must see that I am always an aggressive gentleman! So the news is battle has been averted between Kilkerran and Buchanan, and I have recalled my noble army without military incident.

Lord Taliesin, you are both correct & charitable to note that I had made clear that my aggressive intentions were only from my kingdom and never a gathering of Clan DARK against Lord Taliesin. I thank you for making that clear. My own kingdom had a foul matter to remedy with you according to intelligence; although my troops did have a few ales to go. But you are wise in being cautious.

After launching my army under the good Duke Howarth, I was compelled by my allegiance to Clan DARK to make sure that this contest would not interfere with our collective interests. Our excellency Chieftan McRoach, who is most wise and noble, sees greater opportunity for the well-being of our lands and clans by having me call off my attack.

All of this has led to another announcement which I will make publicly soon hereafter as a new thread.
