st. patrick's day on the west coast
Posted by seanacie on Mar 17th, 2013 11:20 PM
Went to parade downtown early this morning. Lots of new floats from last year. Met a friendly fellow who kept shouting "Erin Go bragh" His name was Kevin. He said there were no snakes in Ireland for Patrick to drive out. It was real cold wind blowing in from the north shore mtns but I lasted till noon when the parade stopped....

After lunch heard two Celtic bands on the Mall, in the Celtic Village put on by Doolins Pub, Malarkey and Whiskey Dicks. The latter is very lively, they call it punk celtic. Just a merry old time. Have seen them three times now and they knock me out!! Bought a CD for me and one for Dale, my Newfie friend.

Tried to find green beer but they didn't have it at the Legion. there was a
jam going on and they didn't know much Celtic music. I had a drink though and people were friendly enough.

at home I sent out some more St. Patrick's cards and started to plan
what I'll do next year.

Yours,
Seanacie
