Hi everyone...

You have no idea how long I've been looking for a decent Celtic Web radio station. I'm here near the heart of Celtic America...Milwaukee, WI. Have become addicted to Celtic music these days. I've been to the last 8 Irish Fests held in Milwaukee and I must say it's good to be among family again.

My fav. groups: Danu, Gaelic Storm, Off Kilter, Altan, The Coors...too many to mention really...

Anyway just wanted to say hello and look forward to talking to some of you should you find me online somewhere.

Well! Welcome! This is a great site with good people and intersting discussions, and the music is first rate. Hope you tell us more about yourself and your interests soon, and settle right in and feel at home.
(I like Off Kilter too, a lot. smile.gif )

Well, heck...if you want to know anything specific just ask! Come on...don't be shy...just don't ask a question you really don't want an honest answer to. I tend to be fairly straight spoken on certain subjects... (aren't all Irish?)

Hello Senara! Fàilte gu Celtic Radio! Welcome to Celtic Radio! It is SO good to have you here with us!

In my humble opinion, you have found one of the best websites ever. The people here are some of the nicest to be found anywhere on the net, and the music is simply out of this world.

So kick off your shoes, grab a mug of your favorite hot (or cold) beverage, turn up the music and have fun! I look forward to getting to know you better through your posts.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to ask anyone with the word "Guide" beneath their avatar. That's why we're here!

Again, it is so nice to have you with us. We are like one big family here, and we just love welcoming new members to the fold! I hope that you will enjoy your stay with us, and that you will come back and visit with us often. I feel quite certain that you will grow to love the place as much as I have.

Welcome to the family, my friend!
And welcome home! smile.gif

well, thanks all for the warm welcome.

Suppose I could give you a bit more information about me. I'm a secretary by day, and wannabe musician by night. I've played clarinet since I was in elementry school and I enjoy playing with adult community bands these days. (I'm really trying to find out how many times one can play Greensleeves in their lifetime laugh.gif )

Anyway I have 3 younger brothers, my folks are divorced, and all of my grandparents have now travelled beyond the veil and are enjoying a life of joy and youth once again.

So I've got my headphones plugged in here at work and I'm really getting hooked on Barleyjuice in the past few days...these guys are a riot!!!!! Gonna have to hit Borders and see if I can't find a couple albums after work tonight.

Anyway...I had a chance to go see Celtic Woman when it was here in Milwaukee just a couple weeks ago. If it's anywhere near you SPEND THE MONEY AND GO!!!!! Definately something that shouldn't be missed. Oh you might want to bring a few tissues along too. I was in tears just from the shear beauty of the singing.

Cherish the Ladies are going to be in Fond Du Lac in February I beleive...I have to go double check Ticketmaster on that one. Saw them at Irish Fest back in August and they are just fabulous. 6 ladies that tell it like it is! Gotta love it!!!

Anyway I should get cracking and actually try to get something accomplished today. Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend if I don't catch you before then.

I got to see Gaelic Storm perform a couple weeks ago, and it was great fun smile.gif Hopefully the WI venue will allow Guinness at the gig! smile.gif It'd have to be better than the only thing we didn't have to hold up smile.gif

Hey everyone....

Hope you all can do me a favor today. Request a song for a Vetran today...let's honor those warriors that gave thier lives for our countries....

Be sure to add the dedication notes to your request! Let's thank the ones that listen with us and let them know we do appreciate their sacrifices.

Thanks...

Have a great weekend.

Welcome Senara - hope you'll enjoy our happy wee family!

Eiric, Thanks for the welcome. I'm enjoying myself immensely. I'm slowing learning the ins and outs. Unfortunately I don't have enough time to spend with you all...listen mostly while at work...and even though this week is only 3days long with the holiday coming up I have to cram all the same stuff into a few short days.

sad.gif not good...anyway hope to get a chance to talk to you and the others soon.
